| TsarTom HEY! I have a Tiny Tim CSB (exposition) I first saw Tiny Tim on the Tonight show as a kid. My mother told me who he was and how he had married Miss Vicki on Carson a few years earlier. My mother's name is Vicki (spelled the same way) so we had a laugh. Oh, how we laughed. I was a kid, he played the ukelele and sang in falsetto. I thought he was awesome. A few months before his death, he moved into my neighborhood in St Louis Park, MN. I saw him at a local grocery store, and freaked... I loved this guy. Still do. I asked him for an autograph, all I had was a matchbook. He asked me who to address it to, so I sez, my mother. I spelled it for him, V I C K I, completely forgetting abut the Tonight Show. He gives me a sly smile, like I was farking with him, and signs it to his Long Lost Miss Vicki. Ma still has it. He was awesome. RIP awesome guy Anyway, what were you saying subby? ummm... Maybe I should read TFA |

| AdolfOliverPanties Some good records on there. I like that Geddy put records that were important to him, not just the ones that are technically the best. I like Rush. I saw them probably 4 or 5 times back in the 80s, but I seriously doubt any of their records would make my top 13. If one cracked the list it would be Hemispheres. |

| gilgigamesh That's a respectable list. I was expecting a list of bass-player classics, but I should have realized he isn't that shallow. |
||
| Tat'dGreaser Wow the worst singer and musician ever has a favorite list. Awesome. |

Gunny Highway No Canadian bands? Lame. Nickelback was 11. Bare Naked Ladies were 12. *shivers* |

| Tat'dGreaser I'm sorry you guys like horrible music. Neil is the only good thing about that band. |

Tat'dGreaser: Wow the worst singer and musician ever has a favorite list. Awesome. Shouldn't you be under a bridge someone waiting for the goats to come trip tripping by? |
||
| karmaceutical There isn't a lot of variety in there. Not very surprising, actually. Rush is about as one-dimensional as it gets. |
||
| Mr. Potatoass
Was expecting a Budgie album on there, somewhere. |

Tat'dGreaser: I'm sorry you guys like horrible music. Neil is the only good thing about that band. I see you're more of a...tat'dgreaser fan, self-proclaimed "Best Bassist In Basement". tat'dgreaser Top Five Albums of All Time 1. Justin Beiber - "Girls Like Boys who Look Like Girls" 2. Katy Perry - "How Did I Get Famous?" 3. Jethro Tull - "I'll Stick My Flute up your Arse - OMG He Likes It" 4. Brady Bunch - "The Brady Bunch Sings the Partridge Family" (Featuring Marsha Marsha Marsha and Flo Rida) 5. Grunty - "Poopy Flavoured Lollipops" (Featuring a Drunken Rip Torn) |

Tiny Tim's BEST |

For the record, CLOCKWORK ANGELS is great! I kinda hope they stop recording & go out on top with it |
||
| gilgigamesh karmaceutical: There isn't a lot of variety in there. Not very surprising, actually. Rush is about as one-dimensional as it gets. Yes, I frequently can't tell the difference between Led Zeppelin an Bjork. Totally the same style. |

While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I think that most people who are overly critical of Rush probably have not listened to anything by Rush in a very long time. |
||
| Mateorocks
Just like me -- not a single Rush album on his list, either. |

Rocinate's Top 5 (no compilations): Frank Zappa ~ HOT RATS The Beatles ~ RUBBER SOUL The Who ~ WHO'S NEXT Ramones ~ RAMONES Issac Hayes ~ SHAFT Soundtrack |

Tiny Tim was cool. The way he mined mostly-forgotten Amercian songs was similar to The Greatful Dead. He was a better singer, though. |

I saw them probably 4 or 5 times back in the 80s, but I seriously doubt any of their records would make my top 13. If one cracked the list it would be Hemispheres. I only saw them once, on the Presto tour. They are quite good live. I think their first album may be my favorite, if only because it feels more like straight up rock n roll as opposed to their concept-ish stuff. And who is anyone kidding, Moving Pictures is a great album. Also, my brother had the Permanent Waves album and the gal on the front made the pants of this 12 year old fit funny. |
||
| jj325 I can support any list that starts with Who's Next and includes Meddle, Thick as a Brick and Disreali Gears |

| Glockenspiel Hero rocinante721: For the record, CLOCKWORK ANGELS is great! I kinda hope they stop recording & go out on top with it Yeah, I'm trying to go see them on this tour since I wonder it it will be the last. They're almost 60- nothing wrong with going out on a high note. (Especially since Geddy can't hit them anymore) |
||
| Tat'dGreaser Cortez the Killer: I'm not saying it was because you come off sounding like a dick, but.....it is because you come off sounding like a dick. I'm not going to dance around the subject. They f*cking suck. They are the worst band ever. No other band makes me want to change the station right away. |

| gilgigamesh Tat'dGreaser: indarwinsshadow: Shouldn't you be under a bridge someone waiting for the goats to come trip tripping by? Not liking what you like does not make me a troll. It's one thing to say "I don't like Rush. Geddy Lee annoys me, and their style grates on me." That is an opinion. But calling the guy who will make pretty much any top five list of best rock bassists in history a "shiatty bassist", without even trying to backing it up, is just a shiatty troll. You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. Back up your statement or stfu. |

| DarKrow
What about the voice of Geddy Lee? How did it get so high? I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy. |
||
| gilgigamesh There are bands I don't like that are generally popular. Grateful Dead comes to mind. But I acknowledge that they have merits that don't appeal to me personally. Garcia was a great guitarist. But I would rather pull my teeth out with pliers than listen to another one of his noodly farking 20 minutes solos. |

Tat'dGreaser: They are the worst band ever. No other band makes me want to change the station right away. You're obviously not German... |

| gilgigamesh Sorry. "Worst musician ever". Didn't mean to misquote you, but the point stands. |

Tat'dGreaser: I'm sorry you guys like horrible music. Neil is the only good thing about that band. You're on crack. Alex is one of the most underrated guitarists in the history of rock. Saw them twice on the Time Machine tour. They're all in their 60s, and that band still roars like a lion live. |

I have an affinity for side two of Led Zeppelin IV, myself. |
