The first spanish goal in the final was a thing of beauty. It had everything: distribution, service, finishing. Completely untouchable, even if the keeper hadn't lain down on the job.

Although Ibra's scissor kick will be called the best goal of the tournament I still think Welbecks game winning back heel was my favorite, and I dont even like the British side. IMO it took a lot more skill and was more creative, and a game winner. And by the way MugzyBrown Messi has been touring around the world, not involved with this particular tournament which only features European national teams. Messi plays for Argentina nationally and Barcelona for his club or professional squad. The more you know.

It probably should. People think he's from spain b/c he plays in spain. With that kind of keen intellect, you'd think they were american football players, or nascar fans.

I just like to talk about Messi because he's amazing to watch and no goal compilation is complete without Messi.

Messi should have been capped by Spain when he moved there as a youngster. He'd have a WC title now and Spain would be unstoppable headed into 2014.
