A three-year-old California boy ended up in the hospital over the weekend after eating a plate of his grandma's cookies. He was in hospital for a weekend?! Who the hell keeps someone in hospital because they had some pot?! Can we blame ObamaCare for this? |

Also Subby, is it too much to ask that you link to the actual article instead of some shiatty blog that sums the article up into a couple sentences? |

This is why they should never legalize marijuana. It is a dangerous drug. They should all be prosecuted for child endangerment. The federal government should just start prosecuting state Governor's whose state's have legalized that dangerous drug. Praise Jesus. /am I doing it right? |

I'm surprise grandma didn't shoot that kid... |

Of course this will be used to demonstrate the dangers of pot and the disregard that pot users have for children. But what they will not say is that about 194 children are seen in emergency rooms everyday for unintentional overdose on medications that are produced by major drug companies commonly prescribed by physicians.(Link) It amazes me that the tiny, unique, one in a million story will so influence our perception of the risk pot poses to children, while we ignore the mountains of data that clearly show the risk to children of many manufactured drugs. It's almost as though its some kind of conspiracy... |

that is scary as hell but if that didn't OD the toddler then pot may be relatively safe in correct dosages. |

| Celerian TrainingWheelsNeeded: that is scary as hell but if that didn't OD the toddler then pot may be relatively safe in correct dosages. No one has ever OD'ed on Marijuana. I can, with 100% faith, assure you that the marijuana was not what caused the toddler to sleep for 20 hours. I can also, with 100% faith, assure you that marijuana was not the cause of the Florida zombies. I have my bets on marijuana being laced with something much more psychotropic, like PCP. |

Which makes Marijuana a gateway drug and should continue to be illegal. And yes, plenty of people have OD'ed on Marijuana: Amy Winehouse, Marylin Monroe, Chris Farley, John Belushi. All Marijuana overdoses. |

Cause celebrities never do drugs. and it's not a gateway drug. i know tons of stoners that have smoked pot for years and never touched something harder. |

MyNameIsMofuga: Pot cookies can make your toddler take a 20 hour nap? The downside is that he wakes up with a SERIOUS case of the munchies.. CSB: our younger kid was sort of like that, except minus the pot cookies. Even at a few months old, he would sleep for 8 or 9 hours at a stretch, and then wake up and scream the house down unless we plugged his mouth with a giant bottle of formula (breastfeeding being way too slow for someone's liking).. |

There aren't gateway drugs...just gateway drug dealers... |

OMG MASSIVE OVERDOSE IN A SMALL CHILD OF THIS VERY DANGEROUS ILLEGAL DRUG RESULTS IN: a long nap. It hardly seems possible to take an anti-pot message away from this. Don't leave your stuff out when kids are around. This applies to tools, knives, chemicals, appliances, and millions of other things you shouldn't let kids have access to but you don't go to jail for having or using. There is a middle ground here people, it's right there. Do you see it? |
