There's no evidence presented that anyone other than the columnist thinks that's a Venn diagram, instead of just an eye-catching graphic. What evidence is presented speaks only to the author's bias against the Romney campaign.

You mean other than fact that the eye-catching graphic is in fact a Venn diagram? Yeah, other than that there is absolutely no evidence.

Actually -- and it's not unusual that many wouldn't know this, it's not a common fact at all and leads to frequent mistakes -- Lord Venn himself, who invented the Venn Diagram, specifically said that it could not be considered a Venn Diagram at all if the opposing circles are red and blue. It's an interesting caveat, actually, and a good way to see who really knows what they're doing.

Wow, Romney lied in a way that was easily verifiable? I just can't believe it.

10/10 if you'd left out the last sentence. Final: 9/10

So does that mean the "Replace" step of Romney's "Repeal and Replace" campaign promise is going to lower costs? When do we get that plan and get it scored by the CBO?

I honestly have no idea what the hell the GOP is talking about anymore. Limbaugh is ranting about 'the rich' getting away with health care, mumbling something about corruption and basically being incoherent. Romney looks like he's still compiling an answer from his database select statements and our local GOP shills are repeating talking points and doing nothing else.

Even if you take the words at face value and ignore the economic details, it fails a basic logic test. If Obama said premiums would go down after he got universal health care through in his first term but they haven't, the fact that an integral part of the argument's premise (passing universal health care) is false renders the conclusion false.

They were SO SURE it was going to be overturned. After all, even the liberal media was saying it. They had no plan b.

Romney's plan (I suspect) is to repeal Obamacare and replace it with Romneycare, which is basically identical, except that it has a much cooler name.

In fact, they're so similar that you don't even need to repeal Obamacare; you can just start calling it Romneycare" and everything will be cool.

Does anyone have a higher resolution image? I cannot get one from the linked article or the Romney site. My eyesight is rather good, but the small text in the "Result" section is unreadable. I imagine the average Romney voter is having trouble with other parts, as well.

yeah, but i'm listening to Rush LImbaugh disintegrate today. he's practically babbling. rants about 'the rich getting away with not paying their fair share' then off to 'Roberts betrayed us' to 'we have to defeat this great evil'. I can't understand a damn thing he's talking about.

No. That is a graphis that superficially appears to be a venn diagram. To actually be a venn diagram it needs to show all possible logical relations between a finite collection of sets (aggregation of things).

That's lovely. Even when they're pointing out that Romney is a bald face liar, they still spend 3/4 of the article takling about how stupid Obama is.

Seriously liberals? That's obviously not a Venn DIAGRAM, it's the lesser known Factual Venntipede. Facts are fed through the mouth, fall through the gap and then excrement comes out the end.

near as I can figure, the GOP believes that Obamacare is evil and needs to be stopped. that's pretty clear. but so far none of the GOP pundits seem to be able to clearly articulate what's so bad about Obamacare. oh sure, Limbaugh is saying that 'the gubbermint can now order us around on a whim' but dude - really? where were you when the patriot act was passed? where were you during the war on drugs? If the GOP's talking point is 'Obamacare is anti-freedom' then lets quit f*cking around and repeal the gotdamn patriot act and legalize cannabis. if you believe in freedom, then ALL the laws that are restricting our freedoms need to go. NO EXCEPTIONS there Republicans! all or nothing.

the newest GOP talking point is that we should be upset at Obamacare because Obamacare gives the rich a free pass and that's a bad thing. Rush Limbaugh actually said this on air.

The price of HC keeps going up so vote for the guy who refuses to articulate a plan to improve things over the guy who's been working on the problem since day one?

Okay, I can see a couple of problems with that stratagery there.

/Considering how much money Mittens is spending on them his campaign staff seems woefully unprofessional and laughably inept.

I thought it was obvious enough to not need stating:

- Non-millionaires might benefit.
- Government revenue may increase.
- Obama supports it.

apparently solar power is impossible, doesn't exist and cannot be done. Because socialisms. Then he changed the subject and said more incomprehensible things about 'loss of freedom'.
