Ex-FBI agent who was one of the first on the scene of the crash of Flight 93 on 9/11 says she saw "legions of angels guarding the crash site", which may go a long way towards explaining why she's an "Ex" FBI agent

Maybe they're the ones that tried to hijack it!

A mystery, wrapped in an enigma, burned to a crisp by seraphim.

Why wouldn't the angels have guarded the farking plane from turning into rubble? What the hell were they protecting the crash site from, Jet Fuel stealing demons? Looters who need one flaming sock?

I guess these were just wreckage guarding angels. The ones that actually prevent horrific tragedies must've had the day off.

Just like Angels, always late to the party. Perhaps what the agent saw was the terrified souls of the dead fleeing the scene. I understand it's easy to confuse the two.

"The biggest thing for me is that that there were no bodies," she said.

Leonardi, 56, remembers the burning pine and jet fuel stinging her nostrils. She said she also remembers a smoldering crater littered with debris too small to associate with the jetliner or 40 passengers and crew on board.

Oh, yeah, well of course. Legions of angels are known to guard...nothing...from...who knows what. So lets say there were 12 legions of angels. That's 36,000 angels by rough estimate.

That's cray-cray.

They let 4 planes crash that day. I'd say they definitely had the day off.

All of you saying "why didn't the angels protect the plane?" you should just stop. It's no surprise, really. In 2001, the Angels were third in the AL West, with only a .463 pct. They couldn't do jack. If Al Qaida had waited until 2002, the Angels would definitely have kicked some ass.

How can we be sure that they weren't the terrorists' virgins arriving? I don't think we can automatically assume that any ethereal beings present at the crash site were there for the victims' benefits, much as it might comfort us to do so. Our ongoing security and safety demand eternal vigilance, and eternal vigilance requires asking even the unpleasant questions.

Leonardi, 56, remembers the burning pine and jet fuel stinging her nostrils. ... "That's when I started seeing like shimmery lights ... and it was kind of misty and that's when I first saw, like, the angels there," Leonardi said.

Shimmery, almost as if some chemical in the air and the innate sadness of the event caused a physical reaction in your eyes that made them a bit blurry and wet. Must be angels.

My uncle still claims that Flight 93 was shot down by the US military. It was pretty low when it flew over his house, with a couple of F-15s close behind. It crashed like 20 miles from him.

Of all the inane theories put out by the truthers, that one is actually the most (relatively) plausible. I'm pretty sure that the word went out that the hijacked plane wasn't going to be allowed anywhere near a populated area, once the AF got close enough to do anything about it.

/assumes a lot, particularly the notion that the AF actually did get a fighter close enough.

It's even worse than that. Via wikipedia:

Islamic view of angels

Angels (Arabic: ملائكة malāʾikah; singular: ملاك malāk) are heavenly beings mentioned many times in the Qur'an and Hadith. Unlike humans or jinn, they have no free will and therefore can do only what God orders them to do.

We may think the 9/11 truthers are crazy, but it looks like they just haven't gone far enough up the chain of conspiracy.

If Bush did order that plane shot down I would have commended him for making such a horrific, tragic, and gutsy call.

As I understand it, not only were they not near but they were also unarmed. Plausible, I guess, though odd.

and there's another question: why is it always "legions" of Angels anyway? Have they not kept up with military organization and theory for the last 2,000 years? Are there no Combat Brigades, Companies, or Divisions of Angels? No Seraphim Team Six?

I think the 9-11 commission confirmed that at least one f-16 was in position to Intercept, but that before Cheney had to give the shoot/don't shoot order, the plane crashed on its own. To me the real question is why was CHENEY the one making that call? That represents either a massive failure of our military/Air Force One's emergency communication system, or a completely untold story of either a silent coup by Cheney, a complete Check-out by W, or a stealth invocation of the 26th amendment

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel? "

I seem to remember a NatGeo-documentary type program about Air Force 1 where Bush talks about how, on 9/11, they didn't have the proper communication in place for him to talk with everyone. Something about how they had to keep landing at bases and going to secure locations to talk with Washington, then jumping back in to the air.

I want to say that Air Force One ended up going through a semi-overhaul so that it could better communicate with the outside world while continually flying.

Perhaps the presidential lockdown went too far and it ended up being some sort of presidential shutout.

Consider that demons are merely fallen angels -- of the same species. Now consider the typical depiction of what a demon looks like. Once you get past the glowing light, I wonder just how horrible an angel would appear.
