Where's George W. Bush?

I was hoping to see him doing something extremely challenging, like finding his car keys or pronouncing a word with more than two syllables.

Dude.

Here is some genuine awesome from former President GW Bush.

Now go f*ck yourself, since you are otherwise incapable of sensible thought.

That was the most vapid, platitudinous blather that I've heard in a long time. After ruining Iraq, Bush has the nerve to talk to them about their religion like they are third graders.

Because TJ wrote the Declaration of Independence, dork.

Someone should screen cap that comment for posterity, just saying.

Especially since aforementioned dork made the comment on the 4th of July of all days.

It's a 136 year old steel engraving of William Tecumseh Sherman. That's bad ass.

ever notice how often people from bygone eras have tweaker eyes?

That's the devil's own flame burning in Sherman's eyes. Behind that steely mask is a mind that sees a city in need of a firestorm... because that's the only way to keep the bastards from coming up behind you and slitting your throat in the dark.

Yes, it's July 4th, but GW was a terrible president and is a terrible human being.
Hey, those wars were kind of bad, but check out how he reads that piece of paper in front of a microphone. I want to have a beer with him.

On October 14, 1912, Theodore Roosevelt was in Milwaukee to give a speech. As Roosevelt was leaving his hotel, he entered his vehicle and rose to wave to the crowd. John Schrank fired one shot, striking Roosevelt in the chest. Though bleeding from a chest wound, Roosevelt proceeded to the Milwaukee Auditorium and gave an eighty minute speech to the 9,000 who had gathered. Only at the conclusion of the speech did he seek medical attention.

THAT'S badass.

Teddy did a hell of a lot for our country, but GODDAMN did he want to go to war with Cuba so bad. I suggest reading "The War Lovers." It's slow reading, but very, very interesting.

Really, I used to watch Biden on the Sunday morning talk shows, the man has some brains no mater how the media want to portray him. He has lot's of foreign policy experience and you're an uneducated baffoon, that listens to what you've been told to believe, and I say it just isn't that way. I used to think Biden could have become president in his own right back many years ago, but politics and such.

Seriously? I am surprised that anybody that watched him on the Sunday news shows back pre-VP would consider him anything other than a functioning idiot. As for his foreign policy experience, his idea to divide Iraq into three separate autonomous regions with a weak central government based on ethnicity and/or religion was weapons grade stupidity. Any knowledge at ALL of colonial Africa/Yugoslavia/Ireland/pre Revolution North America would nip that shiat in the bud.

It wasn't the media's fault he is portrayed as an anti-brainiac - other than the fact they broadcast the verbal nonsense he spews.

That is bad ass. I would be curious if that engraving has enough relief where you could do one of those things like they do in old cemeteries with the light charcoal rubbing on paper. I doubt it I guess, but if you can, I would love to have one. That really is pretty cool. I would also love to hear the story of where you got that.

Madam, if you haven't laughed at one of the various Bushisms then I am forced to question your very humanity.

I had to google one for you, just to brighten your spirits:

""Removing Saddam Hussein was the right decision early in my presidency, it is the right decision now, and it will be the right decision ever."
--George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., March 12, 2008"

Subtext: Removing Saddam Hussein was the especially right decision back in the 1990s when Poppy Bush pulled his punch and didn't do it in the First Iraq War, for fear of pissing off the Saudis and opening a fricking can of worms that might take centuries to re-pack, including massively increasing the power and influence of Iran. Not to mention the diplomatic and political consequences in the USA, the Islamic region, and the World. Poppy was a classic CIA-educated American Realist rather than a Gung Ho Ignent Jingoist. He did what he thought was prudent at the risk of being called a wimp and having his wife pound her gorilla chest and howl that her husband was not a wimp, to laughter all round.

Or was it the right thing to do then? By the time Bush Secundo did it, Saddam Hussein was no longer a real and present danger to anybody outside of his territory. His power was spent. His days were numbered. His "weapons of mass destruction" were found by the UN and destroyed despite that damn fool US marine who was damaging their efforts from inside (Good job, UN! Or secret agent Dolt, according to your political leanings.) or abandoned because the country no longer had the money to pay for research let alone production. His scientists and his supporters were lying to him like Curve Ball on a pub crawl. His capabilities were never lower and declining.

In short, the Good Ship Sunshine and Lollipops flounders once again on the reefs and shoals of fact.

Either Bush Sr. was a traitor and a fool or Bush Jr. was a fool and a military and diplomatic failure on a grand scale. Take your pick. Personally, I'd like a little from column A and a little from column B, with egg roll, er, eye roll.

I maintain that it would have been right to take out Hussein in the early 90s, but that it was the wrong thing to do a decade later. In the 90s, Bush Primo had a mandate that meant something, and moral grounds enough for intervention in the internal affairs of another country, let alone an aggressor trying to take back the historical 19th province of Iraq which was handed over to some friendly sheiks by the British in the late 18th century for their own imperial purposes.

It's because the cameras took longer to take a photo and you had to sit there very still for a few moments. It's also why no one ever smiles in early photography, you couldn't hold that expression still long enough for the camera to get it.
