It's generally thought that you should never run from a predatory animal or else it will think you are something good to eat. I'll bet these lions were having the opposite thought: anything that comes at me with that much deliberation must be something I should be afraid of.

It was probably filmed with one camera. All the shots were almost certainly taken at different times, under different circumstances, and edited together to make a pre-planned narrative at a later date. If you think those shots were of the lions reacting to the incident as it took place in real time, you are naive to the ways of wildlife photography.

Lions and humans have been around each other for long enough that most lions know to stay away from the humans. Seriously - the only African predator that hasn't worked that out is the crocodile, probably because living in the water is a massive advantage as far as disappearing after you make the kill goes. I think the hippo tops the list of large animal killers in Africa.

Most lethal of all the mosquito in cahoots with malaria.
