The house belongs to my family (we put it up for rent over the summer so it's not my family in the footage). When my wife saw the video on the news last night she called me at work, freaking out. We've gone swimming in that exact spot more times than I can even think to remember. We won't be swimming there at high tide anymore!!

Im thinking thats a Bull shark, Funny thing about them is that they can live in fresh water too, have been spotted as far as the Ohio River and love to hang out in shallow parts of the water to feed. Plus they have been known to kill many a human. So think about that next time your wading in the water.

That's part of the "fun" of surfing for me: knowing the whole time I'm sitting in the line-up that there might a shark looking longingly at my delicious legs.

We don't have that shark problem in San Diego. the water is cold as hell though.
