Another troll link. Yawn.

I think this one will get less traction than the TelePrompter thing.

Didn't take long for Godwin to become part of the commenting, either.

Most impressive.

I think I might just get myself a reagan.com email address though. Oh the fun you could have.

Strategist: We've got nothing.
Party Leaders: Think of something!
Strategist: Seriously, our guy's a windbag and their guy actually delivers. We're sunk.
Leaders: WELL MAKE SOMETHING UP THEN! INVENT AN OUTRAGE!
Strategists: We've already done that. None of it is gaining any traction.
Leaders: Don't care. Invent a new outrage. Find something he DOES and get everyone frothy over it.
Strategists: Okay. We're on it.

"It seems to me that conservatives have a golden opportunity to offer criticism and advice in a manner that many liberals did not during the last eight years. By that I mean I hope there are no conservative versions of the Nicholson Baker Knopf-published 'novel' Checkpoint, the creepy documentary by Gerald Range, the attempt to name a sewer plant after an American President, or the celebrity outbursts that we have witnessed with the tired refrain of Hitler/Nazi Bush-that all have cheapened political discourse. When I hear a partisan insider like Paul Begala urging at the 11th hour that we now rally around lame-duck Bush in his last few days, I detect a sense of apprehension that no Democrats would wish conservatives to treat Obama as they did Bush for eight years.

In the future, criticism should be offered in unified pro-American tones, rather than anti-Obama screeds. When disagreements arise, they should be couched in a sense of regret rather than ebullition. There should be no conservative counterparts of Bill Maher, Michael Moore, or Al Franken."

Speaking of which, some of the comments from that article are priceless:

Zinnia2: he said "my whitehouse" - words cannot describe how repulsed I was by that - he can say I, I, I, all he wants - we know he's a arrogant narcisist, but the Whitehouse is OURS!!!

I can certainly imagine that she was repulsed when a black man referred to living and working out of the White House.

I like to think we weren't, but let's face it, there be some loonies on the left. I joined right around the 2008 election so I don't really know, though. I do remember some hysteria about Bush not giving up office or something like that. That was funny.

As Obama was parading through the streets during a victory triumph, standing behind him was his aide, tasked with reminding Obama that, although at his peak today, tomorrow he could fall, or - more likely - be brought down.

The aide is thought to have conveyed this with the warning, "Memento mori".

Well, no, I take that back; a few of them haven't had out-of-control narcissism issues. You can tell them because they left in disgust after one term.

I submit that it is impossible to become president of the US in modern times without being a narcissist.

I do not deny that Obama is a narcissist, but I don't see how a person who isn't could run a successful campaign.

I love Obama, but you absolutely have to be a narcissist to run for President. You have to have an over-sized sense of self-worth to think you are qualified to adequately do a job for which absolutely no human being is qualified. Anyone with a shred of humility is going to shy away from that spotlight.

This guy is way wrong though. Americans love Narcissists. How else do you explain Wrestling, Hollywood, the Music Industry in general, Rap music in particular, reality TV, every successful network sitcom, Microsoft marketing (me), Apple marketing (I), military marketing (army of one), Beer marketing, children's marketing, or marketing.

You know what, I'm going to be that libtard that says "it's racism" and go ahead and attribute this kind of criticism to the fact that Obama is black.

Every single POTUS has to have a healthy ego. It's intrinsic to the position. You have to be a narcissist to a decent level to decide that you are the most fit person to be leader of the free world and arguably the most powerful person on earth. Even if Obama is guilty of greater arrogance than your average POTUS, at least he has the historical weight of being the first black president to back it up. If I was the first of my kind to be President, I'd walk around thinking I have a 20-inch cock too.

People that criticize Obama for perceived arrogance or narcissism are simply people that are not used to to seeing non-subservient black people in positions of power. That's it. Colin Powell had a deep sense of humility to his accomplishments and he was thrown under the bus. Condoleeza Rice is a sycophant for her administration. Obama is the first prominent black politician that I can remember to wield his power without apologizing for it, and it pisses off the republitard brigade.

That's a problem. Americans don't tend to like leaders whose narcissism is out of control. That's because those leaders tend toward the authoritarian and the imperial. They like executive orders and top-down control. They don't understand the nature of open political debate, and consider disagreement a personal attack to be avenged.

And yet GWB got re-elected? Imagine that.

This is something that falls right into Romney's hands, as he doesn't actually LIKE to use the words "i" or "me", because he is trying to distance himself from whatever previous stand he had on an issue. Also, these words tend to be followed by a summation(Whether real or imaginary) of what he did at Bain Capital, and how long he was there, so he would like to avoid that completely.

Seriously though, why is this such a panty-bunching issue? Everybody always wants to know : How does the president feel about this? What is HE going to do? Does he care about us personally? Of course, you couldn't have 'I' or 'me' be charted in a Bush speech, they would be WAY outweighed by the 'Um's' and 'Uh's'.

You stupid twunts on the Right need to shove shop vac up your vaginas, stat.

In order to even get to the primary stage (and be a serious contender) you have to be either a narcissist, a sociopath or preferably... both.

Sounds like my teabagging relatives.

Me: So you claim that you're up in the air as to who you'll vote for this November?
Bagger: Yeah. I mean, I don't like (lists about 4 specific things) about Romney, but I think he's better than Obama.
Me: So what don't you like about Obama.
Bagger: Well, there's just something about him that scares me.
Me: You identified and explained several things about Romney, so I know you're capable of pointing out exactly what scares you about him. Please, tell me what scares you about Obama.
Bagger: There's just something that makes me not trust him.
Me: Uh huh, and you're still up in the air as to who you'll vote for.
Bagger: Well, Obama's worse than Romney, so I'll probably vote for Romney.
Me: Uh huh. I wonder what it is about Obama that scares you and makes you not trust him. Something that you can't, or won't explain to me.
Bagger: Are you saying I'm a racist? All you libs are the same. Just because I don't like his politics I'm suddenly a racist?
Me: What about his politics don't you like?
Bagger: Obamacare, for starters.
Me: What about it don't you like? Also, it was modeled after Romneycare.
Bagger: I didn't come here to talk about this stuff.
Me: Then why did you bring it up? Oh, that's right. You wanted to brag that "my team" lost the recall election to Gov. Walker, even though you're from Mississippi and you know nothing about what went down here except for what FOX news told you. And what's this "my team" shiat? My team is the people of WI, and the fact that you view this as a "my team against your team" zero-sum game is much of the reason this country is so farked. Thanks for being part of the problem.
Bagger: Now I remember why I don't come up here very often.
Me: Now I remember why I inexplicably have something come up 2 out of every 3 years when you people come into town for the family reunion. How's that business you inherited from your daddy? Oh, right, you drove it under in like, less than 3 years. That must put some strain on the budget, especially with the two kids, now in their 30's, who still live at home. Y'all dun raised some bootstrappy motherfarkers down there.
