| coeyagi vernonFL: When Darth Vader *really* wants to put the fear of the Dark Side into his enemies, he wears a Cheney mask. So who was Darth Maul, Paul Ryan? |

Romney's visit did not draw much attention here in reliably red Wyoming, where Cheney grew up in nearby Casper. Casper, Wyoming, the only town in history whiter than the ghost it was named after. /Not mine. At least Rmoney is smart enough to know that associating with or mentioning Cheney or Bush is a political no go zone except when the self selecting veep/co-president war criminal is giving him money, of course. /Unindicted war criminal remains unindicted, |

| MurphyMurphy But why would I bother selling my soul to the devil? I mean, when my heart stops I'll die like anyone else, right? So what's the point? |

Funny story. The script called for the sign to say "Yes", but he gave it a little twist. |

A pool of reporters was allowed into the country club event, but media photos of Cheney and Romney together were not permitted I wonder if Cheney appreciates the fact the he's toxic and repellent to so many people that the candidate -- the candidate for whom he's shilling and helping to raise millions of dollars -- doesn't want photographic record of having been in the same room with him. Does Hallmark make a "Thank you for hosting the party now get away from me you have the stink of failure and poison on you" card? |

| hammettman Good thing androids are not corruptable by superpowers, or Romney might have emerged from a meeting with Cheney and then named him as his VP. |

If I understand Cheney at all, he sees himself as a knight on a white stallion, sword in hand. He sneers (literally) at the grubby peasants who envy his grace and glory. Yet he still stands tall, knowing that it is he, and he alone, who holds back the powers of darkness from descending on these grubby, undeserving peasants. |

| Nina_Hartley's_Ass "At the broader advisory level, everybody who was around Cheney and Bush are around Romney," he added. "They want him to win. And it's inevitable that they'd have some influence, because they have the most recent Republican expertise in running the government. But I don't see a lot of overlap there." Still, many political operatives or lower-ranking policy officials from the George W. Bush administration are deeply enmeshed in the Romney campaign, including senior adviser Ed Gillespie; foreign policy adviser Dan Senor; economic policy advisers Glenn Hubbard and Gregory Mankiw; and strategists Stuart Stevens and Russ Schriefer. And several senior Romney staff members are veterans of Bush's Republican National Committee, including campaign manager Matt Rhoades. |

WashPo: You guys are all Bushies. Advisers: So? It's not like that means we're the exact same people. WashPo: ???? Um, ok, good enough. COPY! |

Given that that's the case, do you think it irks him at all that one of his "people" -- an incredibly wealthy 1% of the 1% republican candidate for whom he's raising money -- has a policy of not wanting to have any public record of them having met? Me? I'd just send Little Paulie over to smash the camera /Barzini |
