Call me mendaciously optimistic, but Dennis Miller hasn't had an angstrom of f*cking humor in his body since Bush was caught whacking it to a story about a Donkey in Florida. |
||
| fuhfuhfuh
Read every comment in this thread with Miller's signature smarmy swagger, because that was the only thing his "comedy" relied on. |

It's funny because he doesn't like the President! |

Hey! Remember me! I was funny when I was doing Weekend Update WAY back in the day. I mean, I wasn't Norm McDonald funny, or anything. But I got a chuckle or two! Remember how I used to do that thing with my head? Bob bob bob bob? And I had that hair? Oh man, that was great! Well great news! I have actual opinions, too and hey! HEY! Where are you going? |
||

Norm MacDonald, modern day Nostradamus. |
||
| too-old Arguing about what the hell we should call rich people? Yeah, that is a productive waste of time |
||
| skullkrusher It seems that the reports of his death have been greatly exaggerated. |

| jim32rr whidbey: Dennis Miller is a washed-up unfunny hack who thinks supporting the wrong side of history is something cool. You sound unwashed and successful |

He wasn't funny in 1985 and he's not funny now. |

Ah, Dennis Miller . . . The guy who can quote Homer in the original Greek but can't figure out why nuking the entire Middle East isn't a good idea. A mystery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a shiatty-looking beard. |

He has to drop the class warfare. *golf clap* Dennis MIller has said an awful lot of really dumb stuff since he first shiat his pants on 9/11 and went full derptard but this one easily slides into the top ten. Gratz, Denny, your devolution into a soulless, mindless, reality-detached, corporate whore is now complete. Tell O'Rielly to give you a cookie and STFU. K? /Sorry, didn't mean to go on a rant or anything. |

It seems Dennis Miller has painted himself into a corner. He revived his dead career by pandering to the far right wing of the Republican Party, and now that is all his has. He has ruined his reputation with rest of America, so he has no recourse but to continue this "character". He seems to just be going through the motions now. Dennis Miller-paycheck casher... |

Why is it for all the 100 of things there are to complain about when it comes to Obama, Republicans only complain about stuff that is made up? |

devek: Why is it for all the 100 of things there are to complain about when it comes to Obama, Republicans only complain about stuff that is made up? Maybe because the things that are complaint-worthy about Obama are the core tenets of their ideology. |

"Boy, have you seen the lay of the land more rancorous than it is right now? He has to drop the class warfare. He might have organized communities, but he's disrupting this nation and he's got to drop all this class warfare for God's sakes. I don't get it." "It is like a scientologist telling you in this rancorous culture we live in now..." |
||
| qorkfiend
devek: Why is it for all the 100 of things there are to complain about when it comes to Obama, Republicans only complain about stuff that is made up? Because they've either done or would do all of those other things. |
||
| Great_Milenko
Why does he always say 'rich' like it is a four-letter word? Why doesn't he say 'prosperous'? Because there's a difference. When you're handed a fortune through inheritance, or make money through investment schemes, you're "rich". When you're rewarded well for accomplishing something and maybe making the world a better place, you're "prosperous." Without his trust fund and his connections, mitt romney would starve to death trying to open a can of soup with a credit card. |
||
| bacccc
I don't want to go off on a rant here but .... DM flip flops more than Romney for God's sake. He's a liberal turned neo-con in an effort to somehow revive his dead-as-a-door-nail "career". /it's not working |

and I think this guy is the most divisive president I have ever seen Let's disagree with everything and then blame the guy who calls our bluff by adopting our alternate plans (which we'll then immediately disagree with) for being divisive! Ah, a winning strategy. |
||

Dennis Miller on Weekend Update was the least funny thing on SNL until the 2000s. |
||
| RminusQ Barack Obama promised to unite us all, but I've hated him since day zero. Therefore he hasn't united us, and you should hate him for failing to live up to his promise to unite us all. |

| RminusQ RminusQ: Barack Obama promised to unite us all, but I've hated him since day zero. Therefore he hasn't united us, and you should hate him for failing to live up to his promise to unite us all. That way, we'll all be united in hating him, and we won't have to worry about our president being a liar who doesn't keep his promises. |
||
| ps69
Damnit Obama. You haven't united the rabid, racist, ultra conservative reactionary members of the republican party with everyone else by doing exactly what they want and thanking them for it. |

devek: Why is it for all the 100 of things there are to complain about when it comes to Obama, Republicans only complain about stuff that is made up? Probably because the biggest problems with him involve him not being progressive enough. Of course, if you point out that liberals have that particular problem with him, then it makes the argument of 'HEEZ A SOSHULIST!' a little weaker. And God knows we can't have THAT... |

"I have a friend up in Montecito named Lisa Dabbs," he said. "She's a great dame, a lady of letters. And she said to me the other day something that really resonated. She said: Why does he always say 'rich' like it is a four-letter word? Why doesn't he say 'prosperous'? ... and I think this guy is the most divisive president I have ever seen, Billy" Thank you all very much. This is an impressive crowd-- the haves and the have-mores. I don't want to go off on a rant here.... but saying Dennis Miller is funny is like saying Dick Cheney has a functioning atrial valve. And while you can transplant one with the feckless hope of breathing a soul, humility or common human decency into one, you can't slap funny into Miller. The guy is as impervious to humor as Betty White is to moisture. Dennis Miller wouldn't know laughter even if Karl Rove sent him a farking laugh track machine for his next routine... the god damn thing would break down in the middle of his act and you'd hear Victoria Jackson the next stage over laughing all the way to the bank with Crossroads GPS money. Sucker! But let's be honest here, folks, the guy is truly one routine away from applying for food stamps. Then that sanctimonious, self-righteous, smug curmudgeonly pugnacious piece of rancid GOP shill filth can experience what it's like to suffer - just like we've all been doing since Weekend Update. |

"Hi, I'm Dennis Miller, and I'm here because I'm proud of my word-a-day calendar and will now show it with an article employing words that are only in existence to appear on the SATs..." /those looking for the funny may want to step back and realize this is Dennis Miller |

Hey, he's got his schitck. He knows his base. And he gets paid. whatever. |

Say what you will, Dennis Miller had some genuinely amusing HBO special standup acts years ago. Then he decided to become a pundit, then a large number of people who said they might have liked him at one point now hate him. Comedians and actors shouldn't get into politics. |

Now I don't want to go off on a rant here, but the latest crush of pseudo-celebs and has-beens rushing to support the GOP is making Nixon's 1972 Hollywood cocktail party look like Friday night at Charlie Sheen's place. I mean come on... I haven't seen such obvious propping-up of dead weight since the last installment of the weekend at Bernie's franchise. How endorsement-poor do you have to be for Ted Nugent to be a good idea? "Who? Oh, the snakeskin camo wearing guitarist that was banging a 17 year-old girl that he was legal guardian of? Yeah, let's sign him up." Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. |

On Wednesday night's "The O'Reilly Factor" during his weekly "Miller Time" segment, radio talker show host and comedian Dennis Miller said he had seen enough of President Barack Obama's class-warfare campaign strategy. Wealthy person taking issue with class warfare? You don't say. |
