FTA:"I didn't see an outline straight away; I had no idea where these books were going to go. I just went with them. As I got to know them, they grew a life of their own."

Someone writing erotic (barely) fan fiction about the Twilight series didn't have a clear vision of her characters or the direction they would take in her book? I find that hard to believe and anxiously await the well crafted novels to come based on the homosexual escapades of Harry Potter and Malfoy.

I really want to hate this guy. Then he slags off Twilight & now 50 Shades of Gray. DAMNIT Robert I can't hate you now! Only a few more month until he can "break up" with Kristen. Then he can be free to roam greener pastures & find better woman to bang.

I know there are a few of us Fark women that looked at FSOG and said "meh, amateurs" and "big deal" because we've seen porn and aren't about to get all giggly and moony-eyed over it.

The fascination women have developed with this series is creepy. But then again, Twilight was fairly recent, and that made me feel a lot of "oh for fark's sake", too.

If I want to read farked up porn I'll go grab the Beauty series by Anne Rice. Not some bored housewives glorified, smutty, fan fiction.

I'm female & I don't understand the allure of Twilight. Vampires DON'T FARKING SPARKLE!!! They may brood BUT they will also rip out your throat. That's the way I like my vamps. Not this sparkling teenaged broody bull crap.

Those are some good books. The Anne Rice ones, not the crystalline vampire series.

Quote from the article: The author said she has a short list off four men she sees as Christian and about three as Anastacia.

Now it's a tranny S&M flick.

I discovered the Beauty series when I was around 20. They've given me years of smut filled fantasies.

My then-girlfriend (now wife) brought them with her when we started living together. She also brought some cuffs. I was 16 when we got together, and haven't identified as vanilla since.

Glad I'm not the only one to catch that.. though the term tranny's a tad impolite.

/The fact that it's 50 Shades is what makes it bad, not the kink.

Try as I might, I can't help liking Robert Pattinson. He constantly mocks the franchise that made him rich and manages to get away with it, he makes fun of 50 Shades of Grey, and in general he doesn't seem to take being famous too seriously. Even the story from the other day about wanting to play Bond was mostly him talking about how ridiculous it would be for him to play Bond now and how they'd have to spend the first half of the movie torturing the young pretty boy for anybody to take him as Bond seriously.

Sheesh, the wussification of the common vampire basically started with Rice. I see Twilight as the natural evolution of that path...

This detour into soccer mom S&M was a bit unexpected, though.

/Law of inverse ninjas + over-saturation.

I wasn't referring to her vampire books; I've never read those, not being a fan of vampire books in general. I was referring to the Beauty series she wrote under the pen name "A.N. Roquelaure" - not fantastic, but decent smut/S&M fantasy porn.
