Sigh.

I'm pretty sure that "there's a warrant out for your arrest" is reason enough to arrest him. I could be wrong, but I don't think they have to know the specific crime that the warrant was originally for.

They did give him a reason. There is a warrant. If they answered that it was for robbery, the person would start shouting about "Who is it favored that I'm said to whom I have purported to have committed these crimes?" and it would have gone on and on and on. Having a warrant means you can be arrested. You don't get to start asking questions to delay the arrest. You don't get to decide what's legal and what isn't. And I don't care how many fake bible-verses you can make up on the spot. If they couldn't handcuff him, they should have shackled his legs.

The cops' primary concern in this instance is getting the person subdued so they aren't at risk. This is what my 7-year-old does when he doesn't want to do something. He complains, he asks questions, he tries to derail the situation by stalling and looking for excuses and loopholes. At some point, you put your foot down (figuratively, not literally). The cops lost the criminal because they lost control of the situation.

That was sad and hilarious at the same time.

This guy is married?? I cant get my wife to stop biatching at me for 10 seconds and this guy drugs himself up, gets arrested, and his wife is still standing there with a camera?

I thought those cops were vERY patient. They were arresting him for a warrant and they answered him several times.

This is what happens when you jackasses insist on making videos of cops trying to do their job. They end up having to play nice and the guy gets away. Thanks.

The cops were doing okay one tasered him: all they really had to do was wait him out, but that boneheaded stunt motivated him to get up and flee.
