It's that asshole, minority 99% of cops that make the rest of them, like this guy, look bad. |

Subby, you silly bastard, I just tried to submit this too. Looks like I need me some Total Fark. Not like i'm going to pay that communist Drew Curtis $5 a month though. |

And a Baltimore cop, no less. I wonder what'll happen to the poor guy? The cop, I mean. |
||
| mrgawler
I'm calling shenanigans on this story too. There's no way fark would post a positive cop story. All cops are bullies who abuse their power at every turn, right. If this guy was a real cop he'd have shot the dog, gutted it, and wrapped the innards around himself and screamed a victory yell while hoisting the carcass over his head. Then taser anyone who was video taping it. amirite? |

This is a great story... ... but uh, the dog has a collar. I wonder if there's some ex-owner out there wondering what happened to his/her dog? |

This cop's a 1 percenter. |

| akula Cute story, but the real gem was the comment from the woman saying "He looks like a Staffordshire Terrier, not a Pit Bull." Sweetheart, I've got news for you there... |

| TimonC346 RedTank: Eh... doesn't really meet my definition of hero. Really? It is pretty heroic to buck the trend of putting bullets into these animals immediately. It also was amazing this cop gave the little guy a chance. He definitely risked something for this dog, and I applaud him for it. |

It actually does take a bit of courage to face a strange animal reported as vicious. Rescuing the dog seems pretty awesome to me. Too many people spend their time bringing others down. |

There's nothing than anyone can say or do that would change my mind from the belief that the world would be better off if there were no pit bulls. Glad the guy got a pet but it's more likely than not that the dog will hurt someone. |

akula: Cute story, but the real gem was the comment from the woman saying "He looks like a Staffordshire Terrier, not a Pit Bull." Sweetheart, I've got news for you there... Both the Staffordshore Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier are distinct breeds from the American pit bull terrier, although all three have a similar lineage. |

He definitely risked something for this dog, and I applaud him for it. I just think it's too high an honor.... I would say it's a noble, righteous, or upstanding thing that he did but not heroic. This cop is clearly a dog lover to begin with so such an act is not beyond him. I would also say if you asked this cop that he doesn't consider himself a hero in this specific instance. /thinks "hero" is grossly overused //also, rescuing a human is heroic, rescuing an animal is not. Humans do not equal animals. |
