Looks like a game version of the Seven Minutes of Terror video. I'm almost tempted to buy an Xbox just for this!

Landing a rover with a keyboard and mouse is easy. Thumbsticks? Not so much.

I wonder if this game will live up to its spiritual predecessor, Moonbase Alpha.

I love that I can go to Xbox.com and queue this for download.

And it's a Kinect game? Ok NASA, why can't you do sh*t like this more often?

This kinda does have a "Last Starfighter" feel to it, doesn't it?

Haha. I wonder if, as more and more science and technology research groups make use of crowdsourcing techniques, some organizations will really start to provide incentives like that.

It's kinect, not thumstciks, so that should increase the fun/terror.

Geez, can I eat my 3D printed breakfast first? Then I'm heading to the realtors and putting a down payment on my Mars condo.

Sending machines to take pictures of rocks is not Space Nuttery. Space Nuttery is extrapolating wildly and thinking that we'll colonize Mars and mine asteroids because we were able to send a camera on wheels.

Same mentality that thinks that 3D printing means we'll just sit at home and 3D print everything.

Only if we could upload--Curiosity has to land on it's own due to lightspeed lag.

This is a bad indication of things to come. I predict the MSL crashing into the surface of Mars and multiple reenactments on the news with the use of this video game :(
