This is what Occupy should have done in the first place. |

| bdub77 AverageAmericanGuy: This is what Occupy should have done in the first place. You don't understand, man. Occupy was a movement. It wasn't a political party. It was about sticking it to the man, protesting the 1%, man. It was about getting beaten by police, man. About doing nothing, man. Doing nothing and yelling at buildings where traders don't work anymore and getting tasered. Whining and trying to piss off cops then taking pictures when they beat us, man. /and that's why it was a total farking failure, man. |

| StreetlightInTheGhetto So Colbert with less humor. Got it. I'm waiting til the ostensibly liberal or conservative Super PACs show up to demoralize Obama and Romney supporters respectively. I'm sure they're already there but probably gathering data til Oct. The paranoid side of me thinks they'll also incorrectly inform people of things like where their polling station is (in MI thanks to gerrymandering, for example, my parents have a new poll place for the first time in decades). But it's happened before so I guess paranoid is the wrong word. |
||
| bdub77 I still think Fark should pool its money and create a SuperPAC with a really stupid ad campaign. I would pay 50 bucks if I thought it could be pulled off. |

bdub77: AverageAmericanGuy: This is what Occupy should have done in the first place. It was about getting beaten by police, man. /and that's why it was a total farking failure, man. Fark the police. I was at an OWS shindig in the capacity of a journalism student and got treated like shiat by the cops. Of course many of the OWS people thought I was a cop, yet they treated me like a normal human being. Hm.... |

I was briefly thinking about starting a SuperPAC in order to fundraise to end SuperPAC's while paying myself large consulting and management fees on the Bain model. I wonder if you could float an IPO on a PAC. |

As an acclaimed Republican lawyer I'd be inclined to argue that constitutes demonstrably suicidal behavior and move to have the PAC involuntarily committed to protect it from harming itself. |

bdub77: /and that's why it was a total farking failure, man. Was it? Think hard about your answer. /It was a galvanizing event which with shape the political views of at least part of a generation, like the 68 Democratic Convention. |

| Wendy's Chili Now where have I heard that headline before...? Oh yeah! It was right here on the Fark politics tab. And I submitted it. Yo, dawg. We heard you don't like super PACs, so we made a super PAC that targets other super PACs |

Said Soros: "The irony is not lost on anybody." [okaywiththis] Political reform needs campaign finance reform to even begin properly. |

Yeah I feel like I've heard this story before. |

| xanadian IHadMeAVision: Of course many of the OWS people thought I was a cop, yet they treated me like a normal human being. They were too stoned to do anything to you, I'm guessing. Wendy's Chili: Now where have I heard that headline before...? Oh yeah! It was right here on the Fark politics tab. And I submitted it. Yo, dawg. We heard you don't like super PACs, so we made a super PAC that targets other super PACs hah! The article in the boobies AND the link are both dated today. Christ, even MSM is "greening" repeats. |

For now, Mr. Soros's group will focus on the House races. It is officially nonpartisan, though he acknowledged that most of the candidates - if not all - that they support are likely to be Democrats. And most of the ones they oppose are likely to be Republicans. lol |

HeartBurnKid: Go find a significant number of Republicans that are actually for campaign finance reform. I'd be surprised if there is even one. That's just a coincidence though, of course. |

| skinnycatullus I did this in February. But I don't have rich friends or, apparently, any skills at fundraising. But it's there, all official and everything. Just sent in my quarterly FEC report last week. /citizenspac.org |

IE, it's only going to go after Republican friendly Super PACs and pretend otherwise. |
