| Aarontology John McCain doesn't speak for the McCain campaign. Remember that? Good times. |
||
| sammyk I am really enjoying watching the entire Republican party stumble all over themselves on the messaging war. Normally they run a tight ship with messaging. Lately they suck and its awesome. |

Somebody got in trouble. |
||
| b2theory Heh. She is ignorant and he's a douche bag. Too bad I'm making factual observations and not just name-calling. |

I selected Sarah Palin because she was the best fit for my campaign, and my decision had nothing to do with the bogus tax return Where's the tax returns, Mitt? Where? Why won't Mitt release the tax returns? |
||
| MaudlinMutantMollusk I didn't mean to say that Romney should be hauling garbage. I meant to say that he should be hauled away AS garbage! |

| AdolfOliverPanties my decision had nothing to do with the bogus tax return attacks currently being waged by the Obama campaign. So you admit, Senator McCain, that Mr. Romney's tax returns are bogus? I have the highest respect for Governor Romney and his record of public service, and he will make an outstanding president. Sure you do, John. Sure you do. |
||
| Nadie_AZ Ok Johnny Mac. This is your time to shine. Joe already put forward his best today. Now it is your turn. I want you to clarify your clarification on saying Sarah Palin was a better pick for your VP than Romney. |
||
| Via Infinito Ed Finnerty: [dtdstudios.com image 500x516] I had never seen that before and it is freaking fantastic. |
||
| Lionel Mandrake I selected Sarah Palin because she was the best fit for my campaign In what respect? did you hit that, dawg?? |
||
| Mugato He chose Sarah Palin because one of his handlers suggested that he could use a woman on the ticket and she was one who was dumb enough for him to control. The problem is he went too dumb. |

| djkutch He's got a point. She appealed to the farking insane voters. McCain needed them for any chance. |

| Gyrfalcon Watching the GOP tie themselves into knots over this is the most fun I've had all year. |

||
| coeyagi In summation, I thought that Palin was just a dumb piece of ass that would get me votes from women, but of course Romney was the better actual choice, I just didn't want his magic underwear shiat dragging me down in the polls. |

Open trap say stupid stuff. back pedal back pedal. |
||
| shower_in_my_socks "We thought that Sarah Palin was the better candidate" was not intended to be a factual statement. |

||
| Corvus I serious have one problem: Why isn't Obama much farther ahead then he is already? Romney is a horrible candidate and he has been screwing up every step of the way. I guess I should chalk it up to no one who hasn't made up their mind is paying attention yet. |

djkutch: He's got a point. She appealed to the farking insane voters. McCain needed them for any chance. Are they really so stupid to think those people were going to vote for a Democrat under any circumstances? A black Democrat, no less? A black foreign-born, possibly Muslim Democrat, if you believe the rumors like only insane people did? Did his campaign really think they were going to stay home and risk that kind of person getting elected if he didn't choose a beauty contest runner-up for his VP? Because, if they're really that stupid, God might actually be real and smiling on the USA that they didn't win. |

We, as a people, are clinically, tragically, woefully, intractably, hopelessly, blissfully, chronically, retroactively.... retarded. |

I apparently missed some fun. Link, pretty please? With or without tax return release, pressure on Romney ramps up from both sides He actually says now the reason why he won't release them is because Obama will use the information to attack him. "The opposition research of the Obama campaign is looking for anything they can use to distract from the failure of the president to reignite our economy." Yes he spins it, but that is what he is saying. |

I guess I should chalk it up to no one who hasn't made up their mind is paying attention yet. 1) the media has actively been pushing the message that this is a horse race and that the economy is still in the crapper, to make this race about th economy. 2) Large corporations are actively working hard to keep the economy in the crapper by sitting on cash and not hiring. 3) As have Republicans in Congress by not passing anything that might help create jobs, like the jobs bill. Or the highway bill. |

Yes he spins it, but that is what he is saying. As another person said in another thread, if the tax returns show that he claimed deductions on losses that he got from shady credit default swap-esque shiat that helped cause the 2008 economic collapse, then this will be a sight more than a slight distraction. His ass would be done. |

Here are the messages: Obama: Romney is rich and doesn't understand or care about the plight of working class. Vote Obama. Romney: If understanding your pain was so important, why are you still unemployed? Vote Romney. |

Is this phase 2 of McCain's revenge against the GOP for 2000? Come on, the guy's 76. In all likelihood, he'll be out of politics pretty soon. It's not like he has to worry about a lifetime of retaliation from the GOP establishment. |

I was always under the impression that McCain hated Romney ever since he ran against him in the Primaries. |
