Or just letting nature take its co Let nature take it's course, it appears that he is well raised otherwise he wouldn't be willing to come and ask of he can take your daughter out. /daughter is 11 //little sister was born when I was 15 ///saw how my dad handled it and everything turned out ok ////I'm 42 |

vsavatar: Lolthien: Is it just me or is this the creepiest article posted on Fark this week? These feelings may well be true, and they may well be unavoidable. But for the love of all that is good and holy in the world, there are some things that are better off not being aired in public. Jesus Christ. And these girls acting like it's so flattering and cute the way their dads get jealous of their sexual partners.."hahaha, daddy is upset because I'm having sex with another man... it's like I'm his wife or his girlfriend or something! Teehee!" blerg. Because the best solution to an issue is to simply ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist, right? And people wonder why everyone seems to have a shrink nowadays. If you can't express the way you feel to someone for fear that you will be labeled a pervert or a sicko or any number of other things, it's not going to be a psychologically healthy situation. That's not to say that we should condone incestuous relationships. However, to say that if we as a society acknowledge that normal people can have sexual feelings regarding their children that they never act on and don't seriously entertain, that it's the same as condoning that kind of relationship, I have a problem with that. It's better to have the feelings, acknowledge them for what they are (normal sexual feelings) and then put them aside and move on than to think, "Oh my God, I'm some kind of pervert because I got momentarily turned on by my daughter's breasts. Something must be so wrong with me!" And some people need to seek reassurance that their feelings are normal, so they do talk to someone about them, and that should be encouraged, because it's better for the mental health of all involved, but it's not good when the person they're talking to it about is more or less forced to say, "Dude, that's totally disgusting! You're a sick perv!" even if he doesn't feel that way, because if he doesn't he runs the risk of getting called a child molester/pedophile himself. / ... I said specifically that there is no doubt this actually occurs. But I cannot see the reason we have to publish it in the NEWSPAPER. Is there NOTHING on earth that should be just between the family and not spread out all over every public venue we can think of? These fathers had issues, which they obviously got over, and they are hopefully suitably embarrassed by their behavior then. Why in God's name do we all have to listen to it? |

This shiat passes for normal with you folks? //And you seem so nice, too... |

Chevello: The terror is just beginning for me. My 14 year old has announced she is in love with a boy at day camp. He's 16 and has messaged me on fb to ask if he can come to the house and ask if he can date her. I'm torn between opening the door with a shotgun or a machete in my hand. Or just letting nature take its course. Dude. You already know the answer. |

I have never understood the attitude of "I'm her father, I have to protect her vagina from all other males." My daughter is 22, very confident and about to graduate with a BSN in nursing. She had a couple of questionable sk8r boyfriends in middle school, but for the most part, I let her make her own decisions and mistakes. We always had open, honest communication when she was growing up, so I wasn't surprised when she asked me at almost 17 if she could get birth control. |

Jackal_N: PSA: Dads, please tell your girls kids about birth control. To put it another way,... Quoting techmom, "Never, EVER mate with anything you wouldn't show in the daylight, (and) be proud of the offspring." I took my daughter to the friendly neighborhood OB/Gyn clinic for the pregnancy horrorshow when she was 14, and signed the consent form for The Pill that afternoon. She went back on her own later for the exam and script. And I told her and her brother the same thing: People who get pregnant (or who get others pregnant) end up living in trailers. It helped that by the time both were seniors in high school, they both knew someone who was living in a trailer and trying to raise a baby on their paycheck from McDonalds . . . |
