From TFA Men In Black 3's global box office total is over $600m now, and appreciating that it wasn't an expensive film to make, nor to promote, it's still likely to see profit especially when the DVD and Blu-ray release comes around.. Are they trying to say they spent 600 mill+ in production/global marketing? Or am I completely misreading that? |

MIB3 was better than The Advengers /Two tears in a bucket |

He may only be 65, but he looked OLD and TIRED in this one. If it was deliberate, fine, but he looked like hell. |

Hollywood accounting and cooking the books. Now they're appealing to these "news" articles to run their PR campaign saying "boo hoo, movies are expensive to make, we don't get profits". Oh and "PIRACY!!" |

...the president of Columbia Pictures told The Hollywood Reporter that "we're very pleased with the financial performance of Men in Black 3, and we believe it is an ongoing franchise. We're going to do [another one], but we don't have clarity yet on how it should be done." Translated: "This sequel made money, and we like things that make us money, so we plan to crank out more sequels. That's such a stupidly predictable decision on our part, only a total clown would think it needs to be printed in an article." |

So, then there will be about 4 too many movies in this franchise instead of 3. |

So? MIB 3 was actually fine. If they give up their irrational attachment to those two specific lead characters/actors they can make a perfectly good movie using the setting and the agency without much trouble. The whole fun part is the ridiculous crimes and arbitrary new aliens every 3 seconds, not the old white guy and young black guy dynamic. That was why the second one sucked: no flashy villain, insufficient crazy aliens in improbable occupations. They're kids' movies, they don't have to be complicated. |
