Remember the footage of Steve Jobs introducing the Mac? Yeah, that was a pretty cool and entertaining introduction. So, how did Bill Gates fare when he had his Windows 1 introduction?

Meh, Bill Gates donates untold fortunes to humanitarian causes, is partly responsible for revolutionizing society, and has a pretty cool wife.

Meanwhile, subby is posting because he doesn't have batteries for his fleshlight.

I'm betting that was a top of the line 386 doing all that multi-tasking.

Modern models have GPS and accelerometer technology for tracking caloric burn rates and climactic predictive/reactive systems.

Donnow subby, considering the size of the company at the time, the high geek factor and the fact that all the intros back then were pretty lame, I can think of at least 4 other tags that would have been better than "Fail".

Was that a Windows roll-out or Gates' senior prom? Seriously, he came across like a high school kid.

//Most of the Macintosh roll-out was fake, BTW.

Doesn't matter, it's easier for the majority of people to be critics and insult others in order to give their own lives "more value" and superior perspective.

Doesn't matter that most of that coin he's happily handing out he gained by raping the industry.

Didn't catch the reference, but it might refer to the CMOS battery, which most desktops still have. It's typically just a common watch battery, that keeps track of system time when the system is off.

Shatner has a few (NSFW) words about this.

Riding on their armchairs
They dream of wealth and fame
Fear is their companion
Nintendo is their game
Never Done Jack and
Two Thumbs Don and
Sidekick Don't Say Dick
"We'll laugh at others' failures!"
Though they have not done shiat

It's a lot easier for people to put down other people's attempts than to admit that they themselves never had the courage to even try.

[Citation needed.] No wait, never mind I'll give you a first-person account. Short version: it wasn't fake but they sort of cheated by using a Mac with four times the RAM that wouldn't be introduced till 8 months later than the product they were launching that day.
