Obama to Likely Voters: Okay, would you rather I take care of it or Mitt Romney. Likely Voters: Good point. |

| unlikely Anyone who lays the current state anywhere but at the feet of the Republicans in the Senate hasn't been paying attention. Corollary: The Romney campaign is aware that most Americans haven't been paying attention. |

| make me some tea unlikely: Anyone who lays the current state anywhere but at the feet of the Republicans in the Senate hasn't been paying attention. Fact: most people don't pay attention to anything beyond the soundbites |

| Slives Yea, I have said it before, but the president has about as much control over the economy has my 4 year old strapped into her child seat as control over my car. Obama does have a pretty bad economic record, but at least some of that is because of GOP interference. If the Republicans had just sat back and let things happen and the economy had still been as bad, I could blame the Democrats. But they could not risk the economy turning around on Obama's watch, so they had to help make sure it did not. They have shown pretty clearly that their need to be in power is more important than the welfare of the country. And they stand a pretty good chance of getting rewarded for it. |

| Pocket Ninja Look. The fact of the matter is that, for three years now, Obama has walked into the Oval Office every morning (assuming he wasn't on some taxpayer-funded jaunt to Asia that tied up half our available naval fleet and cost hundreds of millions of dollars), sat down in his leather armchair that cost more than most Americans will earn in a lifetime, and chosen to press the "ruin economy" button on his desk. Every single time. Most presidents learn to not press that button after two, three months. They learn that the button next to it, "maintain economy," or the button next to that one, "improve economy," are the ones they should use. But not Obama. Obama just keeps pressing the same button, over and over and over again. Einstein told us that insanity is doing the same thing again and expecting to still be fooled. But you can't be fooled again, that's the thing. Unless you're Obama. He's choosing this and that's what I think is unconscieinshaeable. |

And yet Obama is outpolling Romney. Ouch. |

| sprawl15
FTA: Thirty-four percent say Obama is the most to blame, followed by 23 percent who say Congress is the culprit. Twenty percent point the finger at Wall Street, and 18 percent cite former President George W. Bush. So...66% of the populace doesn't think Obama is most to blame for the economy? Neat. |
||
| mainstreet62
And a version of the president's comment - "Hey Obama: You didn't build my success. I did" - is now available as a bumper sticker from the House GOP campaign committee. Oh my God, we need to sterilize any idiot that buys this bumper sticker immediately. |
||
| The Homer Tax
Quoting myself from another thread: 61% of people think that either: Congress, Wall Street, or George W Bush are "most to blame" about the economy compared to 34% who think Obama is. This is bad news...for Obama. |
||
| Slaves2Darkness
Dear voters, the economy is a shiat sandwich your only options are sand for pounding up your ass (AKA Mitt Romney) or a slice of government cheese (AKA Barack Obama). Me I like cheese. |

If a poll is good for Obama then its: "They'll keep skewing the Polls by only adding "Holder's People", and that would give him 95% Approval in ALL areas....such as "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?"....LOL" |
||
| verbaltoxin This just in: Americans blame the President for bad things and give him credit for good things, because they don't know how their own government works. More with Ric Romero at 11. |

No, no, I like knowing who I shouldn't bother talking, to because that's the asshole who will bring politics up when the conversation has nothing to do with it. |

| Weaver95 Two-thirds of likely voters say the weak economy is Washington's fault, and more blame President Obama than anybody else, according to a new poll for The Hill. well, the corporate press has been working very hard to make as many people as possible believe that lie. God knows....it isn't in any corporations best interests for average citizens to start finding out just how badly wall street, corporations and bankers are f*cking us over. Nope, just blame it all on the guy in the white house. simple to remember, easy to work into a song...hey, its got a beat and you can dance to it! plus it keeps people distracted. |

Republicans are very concerned about how Obama should run his campaign and they want to stress that he can't run on his record. They constantly say this in an effort to help. |

Forget the politicians. They are irrelevant. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice! You have OWNERS! They OWN YOU. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They've long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don't want: They don't want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don't want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They're not interested in that. That doesn't help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They don't want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly they're getting farked by a system that threw them overboard 30 farking years ago. They don't want that! You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shiatty jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they're coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They'll get it. They'll get it all from you sooner or later cause they own this farking place! Its a big club, and you ain't in it! You, and I, are not in the big club. |

Obama is the worst president ever! This is why we need to go back to the same policies that got us in this economic mess! Romney/Derp 2012! |

Obama is just the man to keep the pathetic economy pathetic for a long long time. Romney on the other hand has what it takes to kill America and finally allow us to move onto the birth of it's replacement. Obama is the worst of all possibilities. |
