As much as I enjoyed ogling her in TDKR,I'm not too keen on this,especially after Halle's disastrous outing.

She was good, but I'm not sure the character is really gonna be capable of carrying a whole movie.

Yeah, pretty much. Anne was good, but if you asked me "Black Widow" or "Catwoman" for a movie: Black Widow FTW; esp. if they let Whedon direct it.

I don't see how that would work, unless it is a prequel. At the end of the movie it made it appear as though she was starting over with a clean slate, going back to being Catwoman would be almost admitting that there isn't more to her character than the thief.

I think I'll hang onto my money. That would be like having a Robin spinoff movie. Give me Superman/Batman or JLA. I really don't care what else you throw at me. Unless the next Green Lantern is the Sinestro Corps storyline. I'll pay to see that one.

yeah the catwoman character in TDKR wasn't made to be a lead character and a movie about that character probably wouldn't be very good. she would do well if they were going to make more movies in this batman universe as a recurring supporting character though.

In some studio systems they probably started on the poster as soon as Halle confirmed she was on board. They knew they were working on a Catwoman movie so they called up wardrobe and gave them the heads up and they probably started fittings before the cold table read.

I had known about the Catwoman movie being in the works AND the name change to the title character (Patience Phillips? REALLY?). What killed the movie for me before it was even in the theaters was Wizard magazine having a sneak peek of Halle in costume.

FTFY. As others have pointed out,the character has enough charisma to carry an entire movie on her own. Maybe as an animated feature it might work,but not live action.
