Arkanaut: Business tab?

Came here to say this.

We can only hope Wall Street's fat cats are put into cages. Other than that, I don't see any relevance.

It's also the economy. More people are abandoning their pets and more people are opting not to sterilize their animals. It's a particular problem for cats since they are breeding machines.

In my area, we no longer have public shelters, we only have no kill private shelters, and they absolutely will not take any pets and they all claim not to have waiting lists. While I am against euthanization of unwanted pets, in my area, it really needs to be augmented by an aggressive trap, spay and neuter(/spay) campaign just for the cats. These efforts are not organized and are dependent on how much time individual volunteers have. I've fixed a few stray and feral cats so far, but there are so many more.

It's so the house flippers know there's a new potential $600,000 home on the market.

That sounds like a problem that could be solved with some burlap sacks, a few rocks, and a nearby river or lake.

It's always kitten season, as long as no one sees you.

Well, that's over 4 sq. ft. per cat so all is well, right?

I think I read something the other day that said, no matter where you are on the earth, you're always within 3 feet of a cat.

/Or something like that

4.5 sq ft per cat does not seem bad when you consider good lighting requires 6 watts per sq ft.

4.5 cats per sq. ft? I thought they called that an "animal testing facility"?

I automatically inserted "trash cans" after the "900" when I read that. And this is Fark, so I know I'm not alone.

Crazy cat person is crazy cat person. I drove by there the other day in fact to visit one of my wife's relatives. It doesn't surprise me one little bit.

Three litter boxes for 198 cats? And you thought having to wait for your brother to finish using the bathroom in the morning was bad.

wait... wait.

So, animal control came into a house where the cats were living, decided that the woman was incapable of looking after the well being of that many cats so.....they took them and KILLED THEM?

how is that looking after anything's better interest?

No more unhappy cats? Sounds like a win-win for the entire planet.

They didn't kill them all.

Sadly with horders the animals tend to be very sick because they are packed to tightly and infectious disease spreads like wildfire.

While our society is very much against euthanasia for suffering human beings, it has a very different opinion for animals.
