His message was "I'm going to eat your face."

Pretty much. Chimps are vicious little farkers once they get out of childhood.

What's he going to do once he gets out? He's a monkey. He can't get a job.

He'll starve to death in a week.

They sure are a joyous species, though.

Looks like the chimp is pointing first at what looks like an orange peel on the ground, and then towards what might be a way to open the glass and slip it to him.

While it's certainly more compelling if it seems like he wants to be let out, I'm not sure a chimpanzee is that capable of understanding the concept of 'captivity'

I especially enjoyed the suggestions in the related videos column:

RINO Hunt: It's Time to Purge the GOP

How knew chimpanzees and the GOP were related?

That's an insult to the entire chimpanzee community.

that was my thought. he just thinks he lives there..."out" would be just to run around before going back home to sleep.

I agree, but it is still farking sad to watch the futility of his thoughtfulness, and the moron humans.

Maybe not "captivity," but wanting to move from one location to another is easily within his capacity. I don't think it's much of a reach to read that as something like "hey, could you hand that scrap of food to me? right there...right th...look, just open the window and I'll get it myself...just...[sigh]"

Just as nearsighted sailors thought manatees were mermaids, so, also, did nearsighted jungle-dwellers believe that chimpanzees were zombies. Thus, the zombie myths of antiquity were born. And, yes, they will eat your farkin' faces, with a squirt of mustard and a dash of relish, after they tear it off and put it between your butt buns. The Zombie Apocolypse. Soon.

Why did you interpret that as sad?

I'd say the monkey was looking for food and wanted the person on the other side of the barrier to give him some by removing the glass and feeding him. It's not sad. The chimp was probably born into captivity, and he's only known that life his entire existence. I wouldn't read to much into that video. The guy wasn't teasing him, he was mimicking him. It wasn't cruel. Want to see cruel treatment of lesser animals? Go to the circus. I f*cking hate circuses. They beat the sh*t out of the animals if they misbehave. Zoo's treat the animals extremely well. Projecting human emotions and ideas onto the chimp is incorrect. It's like projecting your ideas of what (should be) constitutes everyday American life onto someone who lives in poverty in Brazil or Darfur. It may not be for you, but perhaps they're perfectly happy the way they are.

I'm not sure how trained this particular chimp is, but he points to the food on the ground then repeats a gesture (touching/clasping of the fingertips) which is sign language for "more."

They've got a lot of rhythm and I think this one's got the potential to make it in the NBA.

Description from the video nails it:

"this primate communicates on such a high level that the apes infront of the glass are incapable of comprehending or empathize and just laugh it off. The name of the youtube uploader is "youfatmexican" go figure"
