| RexTalionis 30 years ago, the same was said of sulfur and acid rain. 50 years ago, this was said of smog. |

I don't throw this word around a lot, but anyone who says that is a traitor. A straight-up traitor. |

Sure! Why not go for gold and start spraying CFCs into the atmosphere? Holes grow the economy since they need to be filled, right? |
||
| Sleeping Monkey It's so sad, the world that republicans are working to leave their children. It's impossible to believe they love their children as much as liberals. |

See but it doesn't matter.. god will make sure everything is all right. they're going to be raptured anyway. Plus god said to be "stewards of the earth", but we all knows that means we are meant to rape and pillage it. |

| RexTalionis Kazan: don't forget the unbanning of DDT (some conservitards thought "it was time to unbanned DDT") I heard a lot of people say this about the recent bedbug epidemic. However, the problem is that bedbugs already were resistant to DDT by the time it was banned, so reintroducing DDT now wouldn't really do anything to solve the problem. |

That's why despite higher gas prices, Americans still make trucks the number-one selling domestic auto even though they are less "fuel efficient." And THIS is where you know this guy has no clue, assuming you missed the TownHall link of course. Who doesn't agree that trucks are less fuel efficient? Why in the hell is the phrase in quotes? |

Sleeping Monkey: It's so sad, the world that republicans are working to leave their children. It's impossible to believe they love their children as much as liberals. You misunderstand. They don't care about leaving a healthy world for their children. Their children are going to get raptured with them before the second coming of Jesus, so it's irrelevant if the world is on the verge of destruction at that time because the only people left will be Godless hippie socialists, and who cares about those farkers? |

Time for Militant Environmentalists, the kind that storm in and shoot every dumbass politician who cares more about a few bucks for themselves than a future for humanity. |

| sabreWulf07 So they want to make more energy available? Great! It's wonderful the right is finally back on board with infrastructure spending. We can expect no resistance from their representatives, right? I guess public utilities are no longer soshulizm. |

"Fuel efficiency" is a lie created by the liberal media to scare you into using less gas. |

So, Townhall's finance editor believes that industry and individuals are better off using greater resources to produce the same end product? Yes, I can see why he's working at Townhall. |

I tried so hard to read that. I really wanted to try to follow his reasoning. But it was just unreadable. Nothing but unnecessarily negative adjectives. I couldn't do it. I'd skip around in paragraphs looking for something I could just read, but there was nothing. Can anybody with a stronger stomach for hyperbole than I have summarize this for me? |

Philip Francis Queeg: So, Townhall's finance editor believes that industry and individuals are better off using greater resources to produce the same end product? Yes, I can see why he's working at Townhall. Yeah really. I did some work at a company in New Mexico that used solar panels as their parking lot covers. They hit ROI on the panels in 3 years, after that it was all free money. |

But don't ask ACEEE to demonstrate the economic- that is, monetary- benefits of being energy efficient, because they can't. They might have thought the benefit of being energy efficient was self-explanatory; as in "You can drive 100 miles in your hummer for $40, while the same amount of money will drive a prius 500 miles." |
