| some_beer_drinker that's pretty cool actually. lucky kid! |
||
| CavalierEternal My dad taught me how to ride a bike by taking me to the local metropark, walking me up the steepest hill in the park, taking the training wheels off of my bike, putting me on the bike and shoving me down the hill...into a bush. THANKS DAD |
||
| Meet Us at the Stick Um... that's .66 hp POINT 66 hp I can't imagine what that thing would do with 66 horses in it. |
||
| Bob Falfa Put me through college. I'll take that over a car (real or toy) any day. |
||
| FriarReb98 He grounded my guitar amp so I wouldn't zap my lip while trying to sing and hold the guitar anymore. \he *was* an electrician and all |

| vartian Meet Us at the Stick: Um... that's .66 hp POINT 66 hp I can't imagine what that thing would do with 66 horses in it. I thought that seemed like a lot. |

| Sgygus Dad killed our pet ducks and we ate them for Sunday dinner. /woot! |

Worked from 5am to 6pm to keep us fed and clothed and schooled. Refused to let me learn to fly, refused to learn to let me fly, when I finally lied and said I had his permission and then learned how to fly, he gave me all sorts of wonderfully cool pilot gadgets. Drove my sports car around. Thanks Dad. |

| hubiestubert My Dad arranged for me and my classmates to finish our rappelling course in middle school by jumping out of a Blackhawk. Then again, that was when Reforger was still being carried out, and things have sort of tightened up since those days... Still, that car IS pretty frippin' cool. |
||
| SpikeStrip much better than the story a few years back about a dad who built a mini tank complete with a working cannon that was positioned right in front of the kid's face. |
||
| torch Submitter worked on the Mars Polar Lander project, didn't he? :-p |

| snuff3r Meet Us at the Stick: Um... that's .66 hp POINT 66 hp I can't imagine what that thing would do with 66 horses in it. My Triumph Daytona 675cc bike has 120hp and it weights 200kg. I'd love to see a 20kg 66hp plastic car. I'd rip the roads up. /not that i'd fit in it |

so basically... a mini go-kart, with a plastic shell. Oh also, you just raised that kid's expectations through the roof, he'll probably want a lambo for a graduation present. Still not as cool as this dad: Link |

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that when this was submitted to reddit two days ago, the submitter there made the same mistake. |
||
| dittybopper This ain't asphalt, son. This is dirt. You don't have three-wheel brakes, so you got to pitch it hard, break it loose and then just drive it with the throttle. Give it too much, you'll be outta the dirt and into the tulips. |

Meet Us at the Stick: Um... that's .66 hp POINT 66 hp I can't imagine what that thing would do with 66 horses in it. Drag, i would think; but it's moot point, as i doubt you could fit even one horse in it. |

My father was way better than this guy. Instead of taking so much time and setting up such an elaborate plan, he broke my neck himself, with his bare hands. Like a real man. |

My dad traded his rifle to get me one of these for my 7th birthday. I was 8 the first time I was pulled over by the police. ![]() /thanks dad. |

That's awesome, but I was very distracted by the seeming familiarity I had with that track he was racing around. That was my old high school. |

Subby obviously understands electric motors and how small a 66hp one would be.... BTW.. that dad is awesome.. and im jealous... |

That was pretty cool. There's a video where somebody put a small 2 stroke on one, but didn't bother to change the wheels. Couple that with a kid that's just used to pushing the button of a throttle and all it would do is spin the wheels. I'm glad this guy actually rebuilt the car. I'm sure future plans involve changing the gearing and adding more power as the kid gets older. |

My dad gave me my work ethic, taught me carpentry, electrical wiring, plumbing, to hunt, fish respect women (they make better sammiches when you do) and bought me a Mustang when I was 15. It paid off. I built my own home, have owed my own business for 28 years, been married for 30, have an old Mustang I take to car shows and hunt and fish with my sons AND my daughter. Thank you Dad Good dads are great. Wish everyone had one. |

My dad took my bike, got another front fork from a busted bike, then brazed the forks together and I had the first chopper in the neighborhood. Not counting my brother's Harley, that is. |

Meet Us at the Stick: Um... that's .66 hp POINT 66 hp I can't imagine what that thing would do with 66 horses in it. Right, when I saw the opening frames of video I'm thinking what jackass would give a 3 year old 66 HP? |

I still remember my dad teaching me how to swim. I thought I'd never get out of that burlap sack. |

My dad gave me a new cabinet set for my 11th birthday, and then installed them for my 12th |

hey give subby a break, he got the link from Reddit with the exact same headline, and then posted it to wimp... he's not responsible for others misspellings. |

Stubmitter was only off by two orders of magnitude. / If my back-of-microsoft calculation is right, that thing produces somewhere around 33hp/ton. |
