It's like Romney is intentionally sinking his own campaign at this point.

Lulz.

At least Portman could have put Ohio in play. Hard to see what he actually gains among swing voters from this.

I've been asleep for a day or so, so this is news to me. Is this a smart plan? It seems like Romney's biggest weakness is his rich guy screw-the-poor approach to things. So he hires a guy who is mostly only known for that?

Am I missing something?

Oh, this is going to be a clusterfark of epic, unbelievable proportions. A rich sociopathwho alienates everyone he talks to and a less rich sociopath who wants to eliminate all social programs no matter how popular.

This is going to be better than any street performance I've ever seen.

Who can we use to counterbalance the guy that wants to tax the poor?

I know, the guy that wants to take Medicare away from the elderly!

GOP: the party of unabashed evil.

So how long until the Obama campaign and/or a pro-Obama Super PAC like Priorities USA releases an ad (most likely on Youtube where they wouldn't have to pay one cent in fees, apart from the cost of producing the commercial in the first place) reminding America that Ryan wants to kill Medicare?

I'm guessing it'll be up by noon.

What a joke this is. You could have chosen Hermann von Taxcutter, Zod Zan Stormtrooper, Mieses von Ludwig IV Jr., Thaddeus Babysaver, Clint "Guns" Secondamendmentrights...and you pick a steaming pile of moderate shiat like Paul Ryan.

This is why nobody takes the Republican Party seriously. Good luck, Mitt. You're going to win every state, because you're so much better than Taxbongo, but you're going to do it without my vote. I'm out of here. Going to get something to eat. Be back in five minutes.

This.

I remember a lot of this type of chatter leading up to the Bush v Kerry election. Many Farkers considered it in the bag for the Dems.

I'm hopeful this will go smoothly for Obama, but we still have 3 months to go.

Excellent choice. Democrats were going to accuse the Romney of conspiring against Medicare no matter who the VP candidate was, so Romney might as well choose someone who actually will cut it.

Donating $0.25 to Romney/Ryan for every liberal derp comment in this thread.
