This is a messed up story. I'd have hated to be a farmer with a deposit with this guy used for hedging my crop and have it stolen. |

The collapse of what was once a mid-sized futures brokerage has dealt a blow to confidence in the futures industry... |

Thought they were talking about Peregrine Software, developers of ServiceDesk. We used that piece of crap ticketing system at IBM Global Services; or rather, a couple of our clients did. Hated it as an end-user, can't imagine what it was like from the programmer point of view. Then I went to another place that cheaped out and used OTRS. Wasn't bad, but still didn't like it. Current place uses Marval for both asset management and requests. Can't stand it either. Are there actually any decent service request management systems? |

Yet more slime eruptions from the financial sector. I've concluded that the dollar amounts involved in modern international finance cannot be handled safely by individual humans. The money should be treated as a hazardous substance, capable of corrupting anyone who spends time alone with it. I wonder which fund or bank or government will be next exposed as a giant fraud that was secretly used by somebody to buy a mansion and two ferraris. |
