If Paul McCartney wakes up one day, and wants to try boogie-woogie, you get that awesome piano in "Lady Madonna".

If he wakes up one day, and wants to try something like ballroom dancing, genesis to "Honey Pie".

And if he does just nothing, "Yesterday" just comes to him in 5 minutes and he has to ask his legal advisor if it was original or if it wasn't someone else's song he overheard and subconsciously copied.

So if he wants to defend some Russian punk rockers that pulled a prank on Putin, God bless him and more power to him.

They've already collaborated on another project along with the vast majority of celebrities. It's titled "Celebrities whose opinions mean nothing to this guy."

Hey folks, I'm gonna march into Westminster Abbey with a couple friends, go in front of the altar, and start performing a song with the lyrics "F*** the Queen! The Archbishop of Canterbury worships David Cameron!" I'm sure Sir Paul will have my back after I'm arrested, amirite?

/Seriously, why aren't Madonna and Sir Paul speaking out on behalf of these folks? It's not that brave to stand up and say "Putin's a vile dictator." It takes true courage to defend the right of free speech of those whose views you detest.

Sort of comes under that whole "I may disagree with what you but defend your right to say it" idealism.

I find burning the American Flag offensive but I do not want to see it outlawed-slippery slope.

I am not Putin and McCartney's, Madonna's and Sting's opinions mean less to me than they probably mean to Putin A man withe ego he seems to have is probably sensitive to opinions about him. Not that it will cause him to change his behavior but he will care a little bit.

If these celebrities want to really do something worthwhile they would use their money to hire a mercenary outfit to attempt a rescue the Punk rockers. Otherwise what they are doing is no more effective than a strongly worded letter from the UN.

/Beatles most overrated group and individuals in history.

It's a publicity stunt.
Once they are released they will be offered big recording contracts by McCartney, Madonna & Sting.
They'll be instant millionaires & enrich their benefactors.
Then they can all get together for a "That's What Friends Are For" or "We are the World" moment...

I don't think you would still be behind bars 4 months later, nor would you be looking at a 7 year prison sentence. You would get a fine.

How many of them are being held in jail awaiting a possible 7 year prison sentence? Also, who the hell wants to offer words of encouragement for assholes like them?
