It seemed sort of derivative of the sayings of Lazarus Long to me.

So very, very much this.

Look, wanna be armed? Fine. Probably unnecessary, but let's go with it. Take a course, then apply for a permit. Meantime: Shut up with the sloganeering, eh?

Not all of them were that bad. Some are decent advice, even if you don't directly apply them to guns

H) Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets...You may get killed with your own gun, but he'll have to beat you to death with it, cause it'll be empty.

I) If you're in a gun fight:
If you're not shooting, you should be loading.
If you're not loading, you should be moving.
If you're not shooting, moving or loading, you're probably dead.

J) In a life and death situation, do something...It may be wrong, but do something!

This one is extremely important:

D) Never let someone or something that threatens you get inside arms length.

Even if you aren't using a gun, you are screwed if they get that close. Melee weapons are never going to save your life unless you're lucky or actually proficient in them. Either used a ranged weapon or run like hell, and if you use a ranged weapon, use it from a distance. If they are close enough to grab your gun, you're screwed.

I'll agree that the rest pretty much sound like bum,per sticker(Or Lazarus Long. Liked that), but these here are not bad advice, they're just telling you to be smart about how you choose to act if you defend yourself, no matter what you use, you can make those work for you.

A lot of men let something that threatens them inside arms length. They're called wives.

TFA: F) The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes, the response time of a .357 is 1400 feet per second.

This one makes me stabby because of the incorrect use of a velocity metric where time should be.

Amateurs.

"Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically-predictable element. The Gun Kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents, while keeping the defender clear of the statistically-traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120 percent."

Rule 1: If you aren't cheating, you aren't winning (if he brings a knife, bring a gun. If he brings a gun, bring a bigger gun, open the range, and shoot first, before he sees you. If he brings a nuke, bribe one of his buddies to stab him in the back before he nukes you).
Rule 2: There are no other rules except for Rule 1. If you can't obey Rule 1, you don't deserve to win.

How to troll in three steps:

A) Give your crappy list a title that refers to the amount of items in the list.
B) Use letters to sequence the items on the list.
C) Kill yourself.

I think the directional component is quite clear when talking about a bullet. :P
