Going straight is so much fun!! The real mystique is to make a car corner well. We have running joke at the sprint car races when someone has a strong engine we say it 'handles good on the straightaways'.

Never did 190mph, but on two occassions did some high speed (illegal) runs. Bayside Bridge, Pinellas County FL, 5/20/94 3;00 am, two way average of 153 in a 1994 Z/28 Camaro. 6/10/04 2:00am two way average 178 in a 2003 Z06 Corvette. Now very content doing a an average of 41 mph in a 1936 GMC 1/2 ton truck.

Your right the northbound lane is a bit bumpy before the rise on the bridge, you have to clear that before hammering down.

If my last few business trips to NYC were any indication, you'd be lucky to do 19.0 mph through the Lincoln Tunnel.

No matter what time of day or night they filmed this, you can guarantee there is a mile long line of cars waiting just out of the camera's focus

Subby - These cars can do at least 250 with that long of a straight. 190 is nothing for them.
