| Pocket Ninja WHY CAN'T THE STUPID SEASON START NOW. Seriously, just take that damn newsroom crap off and start Boardwalk NOW NOW NOW. |

| downstairs Why are they filming in New York City, when the whole thing is just a set? I mean, that's gotta triple production costs, and I highly doubt any tax breaks will cover for such. I understand if you need an actual modern city as a backdrop for a movie that takes place all across said city. But from what I've seen from Boardwalk Empire (considering its set in the Prohibition era)... there's certainly very little use of modern, real places. |

What? a spin-off of "Inland Empire"? That movie was the second worst movie i've ever seen after "The Unbearable Lightness of Being". |

There's actually a ton of on-location shooting for boardwalk empire. (Pops) If you get out of Manhattan/Midtown, there are TONS of neighborhoods that retain the old storefronts, etc. And what HAS changed since then just gets covered with set dressing. Pretty much all the shows that shoot in NYC use extensive on-location shooting. (Boardwalk Empire, 30 Rock, Smash, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, Law and Order the other one, Law and Order Upper West Side, Law and Order Transit Police....) |

I had forgotten how much the first season plotline moved when I thought certain events happened in Episode 9-11, not episode 3-4. Second season was hit and miss, terrible if you're a Nucky fan, jammed too much into one season. The cinematographer found a way to enhance Paz de la Huerta's acting that did not involve nudity (jumpcuts). Michael Shannon and Jack Huston remain underrated and under appreciated. This season is 1923. Things get very interesting for the country. |
