Obviously fish don't depend on a broader ecosystem consisting primarily of sessile organisms, and obviously nothing has promoted global peace and prosperity like massive displacement of people into occupied land. |

Australian scientists say there is now "striking evidence" of extensive southward migration of tropical fish and declines in other species due to climate change, in a major ocean report card. Relocation sounds good. We can start with moving folks out of tropical areas into more temperate ones, especially those with a lot of arable land and good infrastructure to handle the excess population. You know, like having lots of Mexicans move to America. Shouldn't cause any problems at all. Nope, perfectly ok with everyone.... |

No, but it is as bad as those that are honest in their assessment are saying. You, on the other hand, have repeatedly been shown that you're... well... Cherrypicking. You know darn well you're lying, and yet you show up in every ACC-related thread posting a chart with a hand-picked interval designed to give the line you want. SevenizGud: maxheck: You know darn well you're lying I am sure that the people at Hadley will be relieved to know that their last 15 years of data is a lie. I'm pretty sure that anyone who understands how to interpret data would be appalled at your use of said data. Heck, you'd freak out if someone picked a trend line from January to August in the northern hemisphere and said "this shows global warming is real." I used the same data set and methodology as you to show that you can get any trend line you want if you cherrypick data. You even stressed the idea of cherrypicking data in your initial wharrgarbl. Seriously, kiddo... You are lying. You know better. You keep doing it. You have zero credibility, and yet I expect you'll be posting the same tired crud again. |

Good thing all that liberal hogwash about rising sea levels and increased variability and intensity of storm surges, hurricanes, typhoons, and cyclones is just propoganda, otherwise that might not work out so well (having an even higher concentration of people worldwide living in coastal areas than we do now). | UNAUTHORIZED FINGER Dr. Mojo PhD: maxheck: I notice you're very wound up about the concept of "cherrypicking." I wonder why you would be so sensitive about the idea? There's no one more righteous than someone with a guilty conscience, eh? It's because we've called SevenizGud on his cherry picking before. When he originally began thread-jacking with his constant woodfortrees.org spam, another Farker noticed what page Seven was taking it from -- a page on woodfortrees.org that used the exact chart Seven was using to explain how to lie with statistics; essentially how to tell a half-truth (which isn't a partial truth, it's a whole lie). You have to understand that, like any given sociopath, Seven simply takes insolent pleasure from lying (and from the ability to lie) and provoking negative reactions in other people (negative narcissistic supply). It's how he feels power over others and himself. The reason he states words like "cherry picking" and highlights the 15-year time period is because he was exposed heavily to those words when he was originally confronted. Mirroring behaviour (ie: repeating back to people their criticisms of you) isn't simply projection, it's a way to "own" the accusation, ie: reaction formation -- pedophiles scream the loudest about children's welfare and all that. You "can't" accuse him of cherry picking, because he's already "called it", and why would he do that if he was guilty of it, right? He also knows that 15 years (or less) is the noisiest time period of any given portion of that dataset, and we extend it beyond 15 years because otherwise we cannot have an accurate average. He knows this because not only was it pointed out to him, woodfortrees.org used the very chart he's posting (among others) to make that point. Again, it's simply the insolent, childish pleasure of being able to defiantly lie that gives the impotent a sense of power. "I ALREADY KNOW THIS, BUT I'LL JUST ACT LIKE YOU CAN'T EVER GET THROUGH TO ME! YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" Cute when a five-yea ... If you ever need or want a bodyguard, call me. I'd be honored. /stupid FARK won't let me quote your entire post |

Dr. Mojo PhD: tl;dr: If a person is so far undecided on the position of global warming, ask yourselves if global warming is false and AGW proponents do not speak truthfully, why do the opponents of it have to engage in such behaviour? Why would sociopathic behaviour naturally gravitate towards a false position? This alone should be enough to tell you that, even if you cannot understand the science (as most don't understand the science or engineering that we accept as valid and true in our daily lives), anthropogenic global warming is, in fact, true. I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but given that Exxon and other fossil fuel companies are willing to drop $25M per year on coin-operated think-tanks like American Enterprise Institute and various astroturfing operations certainly makes one wonder what they're fighting so hard against. |
