I don't care for beer but this actually sounds like it might be good. Although I'm wondering about yeasty tasting ice-cream, I don't know. |

I had some rum flavored ice cream at Marble Slab once. That was pretty good. Not sure I'd get the same kick out of a beer flavor. |

Tosacini's in Cambridge, MA has been selling Guinness Stout Ice Cream for years... |

| ban_sidhe CSB time (except that I'm a chick): One of my favorite memories from college classes came from an overcrowded Introduction to Economics course my freshman year. There were a bunch of obnoxious frat boys in the back who were not paying much attention as the professor desperately tried to get across some very basic economics concepts. At one point, the professor, who was getting a bit frustrated, asked "OK...say you're running a concessions stand at a baseball game. You can sell scoops of ice cream for $1.00 or beer for $1.25. What are you going to sell?" One of the frat boys in the back yelled "Beer floats, $1.50!" Bastard is probably rich now. |

Guinness ice cream sounds delicious. I've had a 'Jack Daniels float' that was okay. |

How about an ice cream made by a brewery? ![]() /Sadly, it was made during Prohibition, so it probably wasn't Lager-flavored. |

I haven't been able to find a stout ice cream. The closest I got my hands on was B&J Black & Tan, but instead of tan they used chocolate... a LOT of chocolate... which just defeated the purpose. You'd get about a bite and a half of stout ice cream, then it's just chocolate the rest of the way because it's so over-powering. /the bite and a half was good, though //Guinness shakes instead! |

I have yet to make a beer infused ice cream, however I've used LN to freeze beer, and it comes out similar to sorbet. It was AMAZING with a Yeti stout. It comes out with this silk like consistancy and still retains a bit of the carbonation. The hipster in me wanted to proclaim that drinking your beer "Was so over." |

Oznog: [www.who-sucks.com image 200x168] Is that from the Ice Cream Shop on Rehoboth Beach, Delaware? They're also known for their Ghost Pepper Ice Cream. Link |
