2wolves: quatchi: Toss him in genpop let Darwin do the rest. Rape is not the answer on either end of the equation. He committed a crime against a child. This isn't about rape. This is about the fact that he wouldn't survive one day in there without special protection. |

| Irving Maimway I'm as liberal as you can get while still thinking capitalism is a good thing. I don't support the death penalty. However I lose all sense of reason when dealing with people who harm children and animals and I understand the desire for blood for the blood god. |

2wolves: I'm quite sure he can be rehabilitated. So am I. I could have him in a productive role in agriculture in about two hours, chance of re-offence 0. I'm gonna need a shovel and some corn kernels. |

Potts remains jailed on a $1.2 million bond. Because $1,000,000 just didn't seem like enough. |

JesseL: "Your Honor, I move that the jury not be allowed to see my clients face. One look at that farker and he'll never get a fair trial." "Motion granted." I hope he does get a fair trial though, to be honest. If he can get one, anyone can, and it legitimizes our justice system. |

Yes, this is about child rape. there is very little justice in america. revenge is fine with me. that SOB has a face that would scare a hardened convict. that poor little girl. revenge? i'd like to see Cable TV pay-per-view hold a live execution with big bucks going to the victim so she can hopefully enjoy whats left of her life. america is going to keep on having a tradition of kiddie diddlers until we start executing the SOBs. |

Terrible terrible man if it's true. I can't help but wonder, however, if it's not a case of the kind of regression therapy at play when I hear such stories. The kind that asks leading questions and can lead people into believing they were abducted by aliens or abused. There is a lot of Bullshiat! quackery that goes on in some circles to just such an effect. I typed Bullshiat! that way specifically because Penn & Teller covered the alien abduction ones (and a few other manipulative bastards taking advantage of people in similar ways). Not saying it's the case, just saying that it makes one wonder... |

Hard to believe this was a new thing for him when he was 56. There's either a trail of children's underwear from every year of the Sears catalog since World War II or he had the worst idea for dealing a mid-life crisis ever. |

If those charges and only those charges stick, they would be enough to put him away for the rest of his natural life. Should be an interesting trial. Hopefully justice will be served. |

Sadly, just like the whole Sandusky thing, justice isn't possible in this type of situation where the perp isn't caught until late in life. The young victims have been sentenced to wrecked lives, while the perps got to live a long life free to get away with their crimes. Now they just have to spend whatever time they have left in prison, but we're talking maybe a decade at most. |

![]() First of all, your honor, just look at him... Unfortunately, there is no punishment harsh enough for someone who mistreats children. The levels of evil necessary to violate the trust and helplessness of children boggles my mind, and I'd vote for 'immediate bullet to the head' except for the fact that it doesn't exact enough vengeance. Flaying alive? Drawn and quartered? I'm a peaceable man, but this is one of the rare exceptions where I would prefer unmitigated revenge. |

| IAmRight farkityfarker: Sadly, just like the whole Sandusky thing, justice isn't possible in this type of situation where the perp isn't caught until late in life. There's no real equal punishment for it ever. And sexual abuse victims ARE capable of living full, healthy lives. They're not a bunch of invalids who are useless at everything. |
