DNRFA.

But it's true that we are more about politics than country.

We probably face unmitigated disaster no matter who wins because (especially if republicans lose) the other side isn't going to let the winners accomplish anything anyway.

Just look at the Other Side's latest commercial, which take a perfectly reasonable statement by the candidate for My Side completely out of context to make it seem as if he is saying something nefarious. This just shows you how desperate the Other Side is and how willing it is to mislead the American People

Since when did Democrats write for Reason?

EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE IS RUINED FOREVER!!!

bout 2 weeks ago I stopped watching the news and I change channels whenever a political ad comes on. Even here I just hit refresh till the ad changes to something nonpolitical. Much less stressed out now. Tonight I have people comming to my house for a birthday party. I think I will kick them out as they each start talking about any religion or politics, maybe 1 warning and then out they go. This could save my life, my wife is on board too.

How little you know of the Democrats. Many of them will be too scared of their poor re-election chances when faced with an ever increasing conservative voter base that they will vote whatever way they think will get them a better re-election chance (i.e. move right).

Not that the country at large is going conservative, but it seems that only conservatives bother to vote. Liberals and progressives seem to think "punishing" the Democrats by abstaining from voting is a sure fire way to get them to give us more liberal candidates. Or else they forget or don't know if it's an election year.

I think positive reinforcement works better, so let's see if we can't get that pendulum swinging the other way and elect a few Democrats instead of letting the Republicans walk to an easy win.

Good or bad, living in the reddest red in the country does have one advantage, very few presidential ads. Obama has a better chance of becoming the first black man on mars than he does carrying Oklahoma. Romney will carry every county, mark it down.

No matter who "wins", we lose.

The important thing that we believe in "the process".

Believe that we continue to have some control over our destiny as a nation.

One of the best parts about living in the bluest of blue (CA) is that you don't have to see presidential ads either.

I am not sure what I am any more.
I am definitely not a democrat.
Definitely not republican.
I am more conservative in my views but both parties are at such and extreme that its stupid and absurd to me.
I would say toss all out them out of office and lets start from scratch.
How about the dandies and the wigs.

Try convincing the few remaining socially liberal, fiscally conservative Republicans that don't like the social conservative bent the party has taken of that.
