P.S. What if your own mind killed you? Think about that for a moment. P.P.S. Please vote for President Obama; he is the best choice. |

Man, I never got bullied or witnessed it in school. I can sympathize with victims of bullies , but it's difficult for me to empathize. I can't even comprehend WORKPLACE bullying. Maybe I'm just awesome? |

So now we're counting workplace gossip as bullying? We're all bullies, apparently. |

*sigh* What the hell is cyberbullying anyway? I mean, how is it different from cyberstalking? And if it is, and you're an adult and can't handle it, maybe you SHOULD just kill yourself. Because if it's not, then you should call in law enforcement because it's a crime. But if it's just someone being mean to you on your computer, then you could, you know, turn the computer off, change your email account, and not use Facebook so much. However, if someone is harassing you, leaving threatening messages, slandering or libeling you, endangering your job, or making you fear for your life, then guess what? That's not "bullying". That's illegal. Then you can get them arrested. |

Just have that favorite pen handy, the one you bought at the flea market, heavy body, quality built, writes like a charm. Tomorrow, when the office a-hole comes over to your desk to dish out your daily dose of crap, grab a tissue, fold it a few times, place it over the top of the pen - all while listening to the a-hole. Then, without provocation, jab that pen into his leg. Then, while he screams in pain, and is staring at you in disbelief, stab him again in the chest. Don't think about the act, just do it. Yes, you will be fired, and face criminal prosecution (probably won't do jail time if no previous record), but you won't be anyone's biatch. |

It's impossible for a sane, emotionally stable adult to be "bullied", cyber or otherwise. |

there is really no such thing as a bully, like there is no such thing as Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, or an intelligent person on the internet. i would explain this more but i am short on time here .. |

Maybe I'm just awesome? or a bully perhaps? *shrug* dunno, can't tell from here. Do you hit random people? seriously, it's great to hear that. I'm glad for you and for those around you. it isn't always that way - just so you know. |

Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: It's impossible for a sane, emotionally stable adult to be "bullied", cyber or otherwise. I don't know, withholding privleges or job opportunities for certain employees, on no basis other than popularity, counts as bullying. That can happen to anyone, no matter how sane or emotionally mature they are. |

Sadly, the people most likely to get bullied are going to be in the worst position to do anything about it. I worked for a government institution one summer and had to read and sign a stack of papers about everything from following safety laws to reporting bullying and harassment. HR put a huge emphasis on 'positive work environment' without stupid phoney 'team building exercises' and crap like that. Everyone was really nice and I had an awesome time. I read an article recently about how a tonne of long time municipal workers in a nearby city who were forced out due to bullying and harassment. They couldn't do squat to stop it because the one doing it was the jackhole mayor, who had stacked HR and all the other important positions (who normally would have stopped it) with cronies and ass kissers. The only thing the others could do was quit and call the press. They may have the satisfaction of seeing the public fallout and shiatstorm, but there's no way they're getting their jobs back and compensation through the courts would take a long time and be hard to prove. |
