Sadie (mostly white) is shy, unless you have shoes...she loves shoes. She will try to take them off your feet if she likes what you're wearing.

Daisy (calico) is a bossy biatch. She takes great pride in this title.

Samson (siamese mixed up little shiat) is an attention whore, unless you're a veterinarian, then he magically turns into Angry Towel Burrito.

Lola (maine coon mix) is the quiet one. If anyone is planning to cause mayhem, it would be her...right after her nap.

Pedro is a dog. He shiats everywhere. That's his job: shiat and drink Human's coffee when it is unattended for longer than two freaking seconds. Farker doesn't need extra caffeine.

Thank Ceiling Cat for Caturday! Between left wing gloating and right wing whining, I'm almost afraid to go online anymore. At least here people put aside other things and concentrate on what's important - CATS (and dogs, ferrets, skwerls, bunnies, turtles, bearded dragons and other critters) and those of us who love them.

I have another cat on an antidepressant. I'm starting to have a complex!!!!

OK, so he is on the antidepressant due to a pee issue as is the other cat. The loaner cat is on antidepressants for anxiety.

Wimsey Whyte-Cat is mellow, laid-back and friendly. He has patience, tolerance for human foibles...and a definite sense of humor. He takes the concept of 'nice cat' to a whole new level.

The ninjas each have their own distinct purrsonality:

Riktor is enigmatic and choosy about whom he will grace with his presence. Those so fortunate get head-bumps, purrs, sitting up to meet the petting hand half-way and (for the very fortunate) laptime, snuggles and sleeprays.

D'Artagnan is his own master. This is just the address where he gets his mail, picks up his messages, takes a shower and gets his meals. Don't get me wrong...he can turn on the charm and be affectionate, social and gregarious...as well as scary-smart. Like all brilliant beings, he has his 'moods', however...

Raven is a happy, affectionate, confident little cat who knows that she's loved and returns the favor.

Yeah! It is Caturday! And I have to say the most aloof cat I ever had was Siamese..Eli the Tabby is the terror of the Post Office...Punkin the Tortie/Tabby was the most Zen critter on the planet..my two black cats were puuursonality plus pusses! It is a cat, what's not to like!

I am relieved...and that is ALL I'm going to say on that subject...except that hopefully we can get some peace and quiet on that front for a while (i.e., no more robocalls or well-meaning GOTV people just doing their job).

So what about greys? There was nothing about greys in that story!

As far a like-coated cats go, we've had three tabbies and two blues. All had wildly different personalities.

I've wondered that myself? I think it just the way people cope with storm anxiety. Let's 'em feel like they are doing something for self preservation by hoarding the basics.
Personally I think several hundred bags of doritos would keep much longer......Just sayin'.

Why thank you! All my cats ever have all had distinct personalities, even those from the same litter. Desi is insane, Jack is enthusiastic, Cisco is mellowing, Snuffy is chatty and bitey, and Sam cat has always been shy.

Our decision to get Jack and Cisco at the same time we got Desi turns out to be one of the best things we've ever done. Desi is as close to the monochromatic cats as brothers are. If we had gotten Desi without them he'd be even more insane than he is now, with Jack and Cisco he's got fellow troublemakers to play with! I've got to get a video of us giving them kitty snacks, they fly around the room in expectation!

My computer is telling me that it's tired, so I'm going to go veg in front of the tv for a bit before dinner. See you all in the morning!

Our snow is almost completely gone - only got maybe 4 inches. It was the kind of snow I like - looks pretty coming down but doesn't cause any trouble and is gone the next day. :-)
