| scottydoesntknow The worst part? It's not even a very good game. They kept saying they wanted to show the atrocities of war, but you just don't give a rat's ass about any of the characters. And it's more on-the-rails than Call of Duty, and that's saying something. Spec Ops: The Line did a much better job of mind-farking you. Still pretty generic, but it did have a couple "WTF?" moments |
||
| AirForceVet While I greatly respect the SEALs and all Special Ops troops, these dudes were dumbasses, especially as some were SNCOs, according to reports. Violating your signed non-disclosure agreements on active duty is something only generals and admirals get away with. |

Maybe they should stick to making shiatty movies. |

I don't quite understand the need for "realism" in video games, anyways. Of course, I play Team Fortress 2, a game where you can heal yourself by firing rockets at people, not to mention being able to kill people with a fish, a candy cane, and a rainbow. |

how about we make the Navy Seals the celebrities and cut back on the Little Wayne and Nicky vagina worship |

First rule of seal club- Don't talk about seal club! (I'm going to skip the obvious picture of a baby seal being clubbed, but only because I'm lazy.) |

meanwhile, with full cooperation from the White House, this will be in theaters next month. |

A bunch of Navy SEALs speak out against Obama. A few weeks later, a bunch of Navy SEALs NJP'd for participating in the development of a game. /seems legit |

Sounds like they got caught in an ongoing push by the head SEAL trainer for more publicity - ie recruiting films. And he threw them under the bus. |

I don't blame the Seals for reluctantly participating. Osama bin Laden was dangerous enough but every Seal knows the last thing you want to do is piss this kid off. ![]() /second time I've posted this today....Beeilen Sie sich! | Flakeloaf Oh boy, more screen points! I've already worn out one pair of game handles for my video machine, no doubt this one will mean going to Towers for another. Also I need a 75-300 ohm converter cause I keep losing the damn things. |

Silly SEALs, you're only allowed to reveal classified info to people who make movies... And only then so they can make propaganda films for the Obama administration. |

That game is awful. I knew Warfighter was going to suck the moment I played the "beta" - which, let's be honest, was a glorified demo, because they weren't going to fix dick that close to release. It's a shame, too, because the dev team's first effort, while rough, had promise and a story that I actually gave a hoot about. If they had just stuck with the single-player aspect and really made that worth something, it could have been awesome. But they succumbed to the Call of Duty multiplayer money aspect of things, and it hurt them bad. There was apparently a Day 1 patch that had to fix a metric ton of bullshiat they'd let slip through the cracks, and then another patch to fix more problems. Of course, by that point, the critics had savaged it and EA was all but publically disavowing it. |

| Publikwerks randomjsa: Silly SEALs, you're only allowed to reveal classified info to people who make movies... And only then so they can make propaganda films for the Obama administration. Well, I know any movie where the SEALs don't rip off the flag patch on their arm and say they won't take orders from no Kenyan Muslim is propaganda, but they don't do as well with test groups. |

They should know that only the POTUS is allowed to leak classified information for personal gain. They've had the current administration and the one before it to have learned that lesson. |

| Smeggy Smurf They threw away their career under a guy they can't stand for a chance to make a shiatload of money? A career in which they are almost certainly going to be ordered to kill Americans on US soil before too long? Yeah I'd do it too. Then use the money to equip the team to do what they do best. |

Great, now minors will build tiny robot surveillance killing machines and make them roam around the neighborhood to blow up dog houses and washing machines. Because of this game, the kids have also learned how to fluently speak multiple languages which they can use to curse and to command others to do violence. Also, with the knowledge that they have gained about military tactics, kids will be able to easily bombard teachers and homes with their exploding poopy bags. This game has created a new generation of terrorists. We should all live in fear or choose to be euthanized if we do not wish to face the horrors of tomorrow! |

Vance and Brown are usually good at keeping secrets out of movies/books/video games. But hey for between 500 and 3k bucks any number of former deltas and seals will teach you secret tactics and strategy at their private tactical facility located outside the gates of ft bragg....you may even learn them for free off youtube. /youve heard of the double tap?
