| Peaceboy Subby, it's all good, man. If only there'd been a major airline tragedy, he wouldn't have had time to get into this mess. |

Why do Mexican drug dealers need to launder money? |

stuhayes2010: $600 million? Good thing drugs are illegal and none of that money is being taxed. yeah well at this point, those assets have been seized and added to the FBI yearly budget |

moefuggenbrew: Why do Mexican drug dealers need to launder money? Kinda hard to spend 600 000 000 on sneakers and bubble gum so they launder it and make money legal ways like in the way more sketchy stock market. or buying property or investing in legal ventures already purchased with drug money |

pute kisses like a man: so... plea bargain by becoming a witness against the drug cartels, and/or, this man will be dead soon. That's what I was thinking. This guy is screwed no matter what. What the hell makes people do shiat like this? How much was he getting? Doesn't matter. None of it is worth the risk. |

moefuggenbrew: Why do Mexican drug dealers need to launder money? Really? The thought never occurred to you that cartels are into more than just drugs? |

The attorney, who once was a trustee at the Carnegie Mellon University, was arrested on November 2 at a restaurant in El Paso. I hope it was Chico's Tacos. |

| kbronsito TheGogmagog: Eh, drug cartel. I'm more into terrorists. [encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com image 194x259] started watching this show recently. did a marathon and now i'm caught up. Has anyone else noticed that Claire Danes cries in every fraking episode! they should have Tom Hanks guest star to tell her that there's no crying in espionage. |

I know somebody who owns a carwash and was approached by people he suspected were part of the Mexican mafia who offered to buy his car wash from him for a million dollars. He said no, but I could see the appeal |

I remember a case from the cocaine 80's...iirc, an airtraffic controller on a dinky little Caribbean island got offered a quarter million a month just to fail to log the odd drug flight. Or, column B, he could take a bullet in the head. Not that hard a choice for a lot of people, seeing as the island police force was three guys in shorts who were already on the cartel payroll... |
