I only have two questions: Why are these idiots considered artists? When will rap finally lay down and die? |

Matthew Keene: The comments on WRC's website are way over the top. Wow! Is it ironic that the comment about Obama voters being freeloaders has the same number of likes as the comment about how studies show blacks have an average iq 20 points lower than whites? (The answer is no, that is the opposite of ironic.) |

huh, I knew a guy who basically got robbed after trying to record rap at a studio. He and his brother showed up with their money, supposed studio dudes took their money, and then got all gangster and kicked the brothers out. No recording. |

I was just about to click on the video when I saw this at the bottom: "News4's Pat Collins reports on an unusual robbery at a Maryland recording studio." Pat Collins is the DC area's answer to Bill Heder's Herb Welch character, only with a more bizarre speaking style. ![]() I can't imagine what cruel producer thought it would be a good idea to send fat white clueless Pat Collins to P.G. County, but I can just imagine what that video looks like. "THEY SAY...recording a rap album should be...fun. THEY SAY...it only takes a few hours of time...and a few hundred...dollars. THEY SAY...it's a great way to get...into the music...business. BUT WHAT THEY DON'T SAY...is that it could cost you...a lot more." Meanwhile, in the background, the NBC4 news van is up on blocks with "HONKEY" spraypainted on the side, and two dudes are sneaking up behind Pat to steal his wallet. |

| ChipNASA Matthew Keene: The comments on WRC's website are way over the top. Wow! This was GOLD Jerry "Scott Cahill · You guys are all racists....you don't remember back in the early 60's when Neil Sedaka pulled a gun on his producer? How about when Simon and Garfunkal recorded Scarborough Fair-and then came back with a couple of uzi's and made the columbia recording studio look like a scene from Scarface. How about the time Conway Twitty on a coke and booze bender held all of the members of the Carter family hostage during a filming at the Grand Ole Opry? Tim Gavin @Scott Cahill You forgot to mention that time Liberace overdosed on amyl nitrate, then took all of the Sands' employees hostage and demanded Sinatra "bugger him good" in the Twilight room while Rickles insulted his performance. |

As a real crime, idiotic. As a publicity stunt to promote their debut album-Brilliant! /they should use mug shots as album cover |
||
| elffster
Was this in Memphis? |
||
| PlatinumDragon
There's a case in Toronto of a guy getting killed while laying down lyrics in a studio late at night. The gunshot can be heard in the recording of a phone call made to a taxi company by the girlfriend of one of the killers; she was just outside the building while they went in to do the deed. |

How do they not know who did this? Don't the people using the studio reserve it ahead of time, put down a deposit, that sort of thing? Seems very odd that they don't even know the names of the people who record in their studio. |

Pat Collins is an institution of comedy gold in the area. When he gets intense and starts being a litle dramatic it just gets better |

Probably some kind of record. |
||
| TommyymmoT I would have taken that mic. It looks like a Neumann, but then again most of the gear looked like home studio grade at best, so it's probably a $100 knock off. Who puts a recording studio that close to railroad tracks? |
