Do we need to name it a Chinese name? He's an American. Born in the USA. We should call him Bruce. |

Are they having a contest to pick the most boringly generic/stereotypical, Chinese sounding name possible? Wondering because that seems to be the case every time a name is chosen for a panda :-P |

I think the perfect panda name is Wai No Fuk. mortimer_ford: Do we need to name it a Chinese name? He's an American. Born in the USA. We should call him Bruce. Because, despite being born here, it's still Chinese. Pandas and their progeny are property of China. |

I go to the San Diego Zoo once a month and I enjoy it. But to me it is going for a walk with animals as the scenery. As far as the panda thing goes they will name it some Chinese word for sunshine or some stupid crap. |

Brookfield in my area is nice too but they want you to pay extra for the cool exhibits so fark them. I'm not paying $5 to see the stingrays after we paid $20 to get in. When we went to SD zoo we about got lost in that horror that is the bird exhibit or whatever they call it. Seemed poorly laid out, lots of overgrown seemly empty/unused enclosures. Some the ones that had animals in them had so much overgrown weeds and crap along the rail, you could barely see into the enclosure. Just seemed poorly kept in general. |

I do agree with your opinion on the bird area it needs some work. I go because I am a member and it is only a couple of blocks from my house so if I don't feel like driving to the mountains to hike I just spend a couple hours walking the zoo and Balboa Park. |

I'm an Egyptian!: How about 鯨魚的陰道? That would be awesome - it would match my tattoo! For those of you who can't read Asian words, symbols for "Strong and Brave." |

In many parts of Asia 100 day old panda is a delicacy. |
