Skimp on the tip, go to jail. |

So are people in St Louis really desperate enough to steal from pizza delivery guys or is Imo's Pizza just that good? |
||

Back in the early 90's I delivered for Mr. Ghattis and there were certain parts of town we didn't deliver too, i.e. the poor black neighborhoods. There was supposedly good reason for this because of drivers getting mugged but , when I was there, it was just tradition. Nobody that worked there actually knew anyone who had been robbed it was just something they had heard used to happen "back in the day". Are pizza places still allowed to do that? |

How much is he going to get from a pizza delivery guy? $50 and a couple pizzas? What's that going to get him? A few more days on the earth then he has to kill another pizza guy for a few more days? Of course, he can't just take the pizzas because he might get arrested for theft so it's clear he has to kill the guy. This is why we need the death penalty. Purge this shiat from our gene pool! |

| monty666 What a splendid and wise use of community policing resources. Someone will be getting shot in the next house over, and the pizza cop, afraid to blow his cover, won't be able to do anything for fear of blowing his cover. |

In the shiatty neighborhoods, the people who want to do right, work, and get themselves in a better place are killed off by the people so stupid they shiat in their own beds. And those scumballs then blame someone else for "keeping them down". nukefromorbit.jpg |

It was like that in L.A. as far back as 1981 when I was in college. There were neighborhoods the Domino's guys would come to a certain intersection, and beyond that, they wouldn't deliver. They don't HAVE to deliver at all if they don't want to. |

I know they are doing it because two drivers were killed but my guess is that subby isn't too far off of the mark and this will lead to more than a few drug busts based on my experience as a delivery driver while in college. I was regularly offered bong hits, rolled joints to take with me, drinks, and occasionally other random drugs as "tips" when delivering to wasted students and from non-students in the part of town where a bunch of the professors lived. One memorable night involved a guy inviting me in for a quick smoke until his wife turned the corner and started yelling at him because she recognized me from one of her classes. A good weekend night would mean about 100 deliveries from the restaurant (1 trip would be 4-10 stops) and on one of those nights I would probably be offered weed or harder drugs in one form or another from 5-10 of the stops minimum. |

Pizza delivery, as a job, is a hive of scum and villiany. There is a lot of criminal activity on the part of the delivery people and the customers, both. I suppose this was only a matter of time. |

Backstory: Someone on the internets had sparked the idea of writing a poem, in the obvious style of an actual famous poet. The only thing is, it had to be about pizza. So, I jumped on the idea and wrote one of my own - in the style of The Raven, by Edgar Allan Poe... How does this relate to the current thread? It's about pizza, and I'm pretty sure I was high when I wrote it. ................................. Once upon some night while starving, I had to stop myself from carving the cushion that I sit upon, about ten feet from the door. My hunger so appalling, I was thinking that perhaps calling without stalling, delivery of some pizza to where I sit on chair and floor. "Tis time for food", I muttered and dialed up the pizza store Ah, clearly I remember that time of wanting fodder of the form that comes with cheese and dough, and delivered to my door Not long after, there came a tapping, kind of like a rapping on my house's outside door. I answered cash in hand, expecting what I ordered to be in store. But the event that was to unfold, is unusual I'm told the dude held six pizzas when I ordered only four. I could only barely stop myself from grabbing the bounty that he bore Presently my soul grew stronger, and hesitating no longer, I paid the man, took the food, and thanked him for his chore It was then I spun on foot away from outside, dude, and door and proceed to trip on my ottoman and went sprawling on the floor The boxes holding pizzas opened splayed and tore and the food that I had longed for, laid splashed across the floor My fire's last dying ember shown a light on what's remembered as the mess I must endure and there it will remain forevermore |

This is funny because being a pizza delivery driver is statistically way more dangerous than being a cop. |
||
| smitty04
I had no idea that delivering pizza was so dangerous. Google indicates they are a favorite target. Two teens were arrested Friday after a Domino's Pizza delivery woman was found bludgeoned to death with multiple stab wounds in the doorway of a Georgia home, the Cedartown Standard reports. Cadedra Cook, 18, was apprehended a day after the incident, after allegedly fleeing on foot with a 15-year-old boy, whose name was not released. Both are charged with murder. |

This is what happens when you coddle the Free shiat Army. They get bolder and actually go on the attack. Expected step in the escalation is news now? |
||
| KrispyKritter two stupid white boys in my town called in a multiple pie delivery order when a pizzeria was nearly closed. had it delivered to an abandoned house. dooshbags killed the pizza guys just to see what it's like to kill someone. they are now the lead story on one of those 'teens who kill' true crime shows as they live out their lives in a hell hole Jersey prison. |

Back years and years ago, delivery orders would go missing, once an address was looked up and determined to be in an area not conducive to health or good tips. It was easier for the manager to comp a free pick-up pizza than get any driver to go to a bad area. But, I wouldn't really know anything about that, because I never, ever worked for anybody that would be more concerned about having to train new personnel and really hated filing out police reports about robbed employees and paying people while they were testifying in robbery cases. Now, there's usually a disclaimer of "limited delivery area" on menus and ads that gives store managers an out. |

| One_Day_at_a_Time
What makes worse is the big three pizza places will not allow their drivers with CCW permits carry while on the job. The individual store managers might overlook it, but if the district manager finds out your ass is fired. Yes it happened it me. |

Summoner101: So are people in St Louis really desperate enough to steal from pizza delivery guys or is Imo's Pizza just that good? The pizza is good, but there are some seriously sketchy parts of STL, where people get killed for less than this. |
