| The Stealth Hippopotamus Obama's plan to destroy the oil industry has resulted in the US becoming the world's largest oil producing nation by 2020. Can't he do anything right? ok, I'm the last farker to bitach about tenses and grammar, however if we are talking about something that will happen in 8 years how can it be "has resulted"? Or does Obama really have a time machine? You know it's bad when I notice it. |

| Marcus Aurelius Lando Lincoln: By ramping up production of shale oil? Yeah, that's just what we farking need. Humanity is so goddamn dumb. Not to worry, we're building the Keystone XL pipeline so we can export it out of the country tax free. So, problem solved, right? /ok so its stupid |
||
| xanadian Yeah, but don't expect the price of gas to fall anytime soon. I also recall that the US is currently THE leader (or near the top) in gasoline exports. It's supposedly one of the factors that's driving up the cost here at home. |

Or does Obama really have a time machine? It's because the stage FOR being the world leading producer HAS ALREADY been set. Kind of like, hey, I put this foundation for a house in. Soon, the house will be built. kronicfeld: It's the future conditional pluperfect subjunctive. And that made my brain hurt. /only got a B+ in English |

| edmo That's ten years faster than the last greenlit article just before. It'll be a done deal by Friday at this rate. |
||
| ShawnDoc I'd rather we continue to import relatively cheap foreign oil, and save what reserves we have for when the cheap stuff runs out. Why sell for $2 today, when you can sell for $10 in a few years? |

Now that we will drilling here and drilling now, gas should cost less. I read it on a bumper sticker. The logic checks out. |

I'd like to thank President Halliburton for exempting the fracing industry from the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, allowing them to pump anything into the ground they want save diesel fuel, and allowing them to not disclose the agents they employ so that they can hold their 'trade secrets.' |

He didn't build that. PRIVATE land is the primary location of new wells. |

We can be oil independent if we start exploiting the shale oil reserves. However, there's a lot of opposition to that, both in Obama's administration and by environmental groups, so it may not happen. |

But I just read in World Nut Daily that Sen. James Imhofe (R-etarded) says the administration is waging "A War on Fossil Fuels"TM |

U.S. energy policies initiated by the George W. Bush administration and implemented by President Barack Obama have moved the U.S. toward energy independence and away from Middle East energy sources. U.S. oil production has risen rapidly since 2008 and oil imports are at their lowest level in two decades Link Give the dumb bastard some credit |

Gas won't go down to $2 cause taxes. Propane might, and wouldn't that make summer grilling a bit more funnier? |
||
| WizardofToast But that's how he works! He's going to drill all the oil out and then we run out and crash! |
||
| JackieRabbit
We may become a net exporter again, but I call BS on the huge increase in domestic production. Rather, demand is going to start falling in the US and Europe, while vastly overstated reserves in Saudi Arabia will result in a decline of output there. |

That way we can help Buffet reap $47 billion in cash. Just his train operation (BNSF) is up wildly at 72% where he hauls coal, oil and sand. Coal to the power plants. Oil to the refiners. Sand to the Frackers. http://seekingalpha.com/article/99242 1-berkshire-hathaway-keeps-chugg i ng-along-thanks-to-burlington-northern -santa-fe |

His plan to destroy capitalism has also resulted in the Dow going from 7949 on Jan 20, 2009 to 12831.62 today. His plan to put everyone out of work resulted in reduced unemployment. Dumbass can't do anything right. |

FTA: The Obama administration's push to develop and grow domestic natural gas capabilities has led to a natural gas drilling boom. Can someone provide a citation that the Administration is behind the push to extract more natural gas? Are we drilling more on federal lands for natural gas? I think not. Did Obama make it easier for energy companies to get state drilling permits? I don't think so. So what exactly did the Obama Administration do? |

The Keystone Pipeline has been going in in direct defiance of orders from Obama's EPA. I have been waiting to see what becomes of that. To suggest Obama has been championing fossil fuels is beyond ludicrous. Resource recovery technology has been outpacing the regulations to slow it down, and renewable energy production is actually going nowhere in spite of the billions thrown at it. But... I am now embracing all liberal policies in order to get the country to implode faster, so I think Obama needs to get the actual ARMY into the midwest to destroy whatever illegal pipeline they have laid, and then seize the entire petroleum industry so we can have a sane government running it with America's best interests in mind. |
