I got your evidence right here:

A close friend of my wife's used to be a working girl. She doesn't talk about it and I don't think I'm supposed to know (although she does openly talk about the work she did as a receptionist in a brothel) but my wife tends to be a biatchatty. She's married these days to the guy who used to drive her around when she was working so obviously he knows who he's married, and they seem if not happy then at least right for each other. If anything she wears the pants, although he'd disagree with that statement but anyone can see how they actually operate together.

She's smart, sassy and fun. Certainly not damaged.

Meanwhile I've certainly never been a prostitute, just as well given I'm a fat bald dude. I'd have starved! But I've had too many soul-destroying jobs. And I'm much less fun than I once was, and I'm more damaged than my wife's friend, and my poor career decisions are the major factor in this.

Point is, the article is right - you can't judge people for making their decisions if they can cope with the consequences, even if we find them challenging.

And one of the comments on the article page is also right. You can't ignore the literally millions of women forced into sex work around the globe who have a very different experience than Robin Hustle. Or, as at least one farker has pointed out, those stuck in addictions which make their decisions farking awful.

For my part, I've never paid for sex (at least not as a simple transaction). I couldn't possibly enjoy it. In just the same way that I don't or never have done any drugs, but still think they should be legal, I also think sex work should be legal.

Posit 1: A government will never stop people from taking drugs or paying for sex.
Posit 2: Efforts to stop people from taking drugs and paying for sex cost this country billions every year.
