| UberDave It was the wife of a city official. If the NAACP was upset about some regular non-affiliated person, they should have come to my wall on election night. I think I saw the "N" word used about 10 times...at least. Oh, and: |

| scottydoesntknow Facebook post: I am overly disappointed in the ignorance of the people in this city.....REALLY??!!!!! You vote for some dumba** that doesn't know her a**hole from a hole in the ground!!! I am totally LIVID!!!!!! JIM SAUNDERS WAS THE BEST FOR THE JOB!!!! When this city goes to hell do not blame anyone but yourselves!!!! Besides the excessive use of exclamation points, I'm not seeing anything racist about the post.... |

| NickelP Nice subby, that is a whole lot of clusterfark there. //probably not a great idea to publicly insult your husbands new boss. ///Or maybe he has a multi year contract with a great severance package and it is an excellent idea? |

| serial_crusher I really need to keep an official list of common words and phrases that you can't use in relation to black people. I thought the hullabaloo over somebody saying Obama needed to "throw a lot of spears" to win the election was ridiculous, but now calling people "ignorant" makes you a racist? |
||
| ManateeGag I post dumb things on facebook all the time, I never made the news. |
||
| cheap_thoughts
There was a local business here that posted a rant about how Obama's mother should had gotten an abortion. Someone commented that what she said was in poor taste, and the owner then started throwing all sorts of f bombs, freedom of speech, etc excuses. I found it hard to believe that her winning personality has translated into nasty reviews on Yelp. Ok, not really. But I'm surprised she's still in business. |

Asinine tag feels under-appreciated. |

| RexTalionis Nothing racist about that post at all. |

I was born white so the doctor that delivered me is guilty of a racist action. |
||
| Abe Vigoda's Ghost Is expressing political opinions on Facebook freedom of speech, an online rant or racism? Can't it be all of the above? |

That's a pretty cool story, bro, but wasn't it kind of a Big Deal on the Internet when conservatives boycotted and yelp bombed a small business owner who hugged Obama? I'll grant that this particular business owner's comments are considerably more salacious, but I'll say the principles are the same. If it's wrong to get butthurt over a bear hug, it's wrong to get butthurt over a threat to commit retrochronicide. |

There was nothing racist about that post. If you're black, not every person on the planet is required to like you or your views. And if they don't, it doesn't automatically make them a racist. You've overplayed your race card, so knock it the fark off with the "everything is racist" bullshiat. |

Words in the post with possible racist overtones: disappointed people city yourselves Such blatantly hateful, divisive speech! It reads like a KKK pamphlet! /facedesk |

The NAACP local chapter President Debra Brown says she read the post and believes it is racial. Brown said that Thrower should apologize and went on to say that, "not only her but her husband as well should apologize for his wife's behavior." Her post wasn't racist but they sure come close to sexism on that one. |

Not racist- "I am overly disappointed in the ignorance of the people in this city.....REALLY??!!!!! You vote for some dumba** that doesn't know her a**hole from a hole in the ground!!! I am totally LIVID!!!!!! JIM SAUNDERS WAS THE BEST FOR THE JOB!!!! When this city goes to hell do not blame anyone but yourselves!!!!" Racist- "Y'all are some dumb mothaf*ckas, slangin' dat sh*t.... WORD??!!! Y'all trippin' on some sh*t, wantin' that B*tch! nubian please! That b*tch don't know a**crack from her crack pipe!!! Ya'll got me trippin' like a muthaf*cka.!!! Jim Saunders tight, y'all. Tighta than a muthaf*cka, he got that sh*t down, man. F*ck y'all dumb nubians. Sh*t go down, ya'll be cryin' like a bunch a b*tches." See the difference? |

Racism in the Fifties: Denied housing, jobs, and admission to colleges because of race. Racism in 2012: Random idiots type things that bother us Clearly, this is still a major problem in society. |

As everyone else who gets fed up with it, I turned to my girlfriend and said "I think I smell fried chicken, do they sell fried chicken here? Im getting hungry". My Gf looked at me puzzled not even having a clue, any how 2 minutes later the woman hung up the phone and got up and left. I thought I won a victory, until she came back from the bathroom and said "No they don't sell fried chicken here" opened her cellphone and called her friend back. DOH freaking biatch outplayed me :\ |

the NAACP can suckacock, amiright? A random sized non-colored one. |

The NAACP are the ones who are racist for thinking the word "ignorant" is racist. Do they think black people are ignorant or something? The NAACP is self-loathing. |

nothing racist in what she posted, also have no idea why her husband should apologize for what she did. |

Cool story bro. Hey NAACP, why aren't you focusing on stuff that could actually help people instead of focusing on what offends them? Has your common sense just died since the 1900s? |

The NAACP is probably in panic mode. We just reelected a black president, there's not much better proof that the majority of the country, even lots of those evil white people, aren't racist. They're going to have to try a lot harder to continue suckering guilty people into giving them attention and money. |

That all depends. If Kim Thrower is honky, then her post was not racist. If Kim Thrower is an African-American, then yes, her post was racist, and she should instead use the approved politically correct terminology of "ig'nint" complete with semaphoric gesture. |

This article just pisses me the fark off. She had every right to say it, should not be demanded of apologizing for something she didn't even do. What a waste of energy for "advancement." |
||
| Oh_Enough_Already
Alucard9295: NAACP Because the second A, for "Advancement," has long since been swapped out for "Antagonizing," making it the National Association for the Antagonizing of Colored People, as it's easier to stir people up and get them to look to phantom external sources as the cause of all their problems rather than their own dysfunctional behavior. |

The post didn't say anything remotely racist. The NAACP is basically advertising it has achieved all of its goals and should disband. And if that's not the case, then why are they wasting their time with something this utterly stupid? Isn't there any instance of real racism in that area they could chase? /Still a dumb thing to post, though, given possible repercussions to the government-employed husband. |
