Yeah, but any time I see a book with one author's name featured prominently on the cover and then that less obvious "with someone less well-known," I always assume that "with" person really did all the work and the more prominently credited author is just taking the bulk of the credit for doing much less work.

It's never the "with" person who's going on the book tours and getting all the attention, but they gotta be credited for some reason. The "with" guy did the heavy lifting; the other person is better at promoting the book and increasing sales. You never see the "with" person, so while technically not a ghost writer, they kinda may as well be.

I know this is a sweeping generalization and I could very well be wrong, but this is the thought that crosses my mind whenever I see a book like this.

So basically she just forwarded emails to him and he did all the writing. I think maybe the names on the book cover need to be reversed.

From an interview the writer gave the other night on TV, Broadwell basically sent him interview transcripts and email exchanges, and he wrote the book based on that, sent her the manuscript, and she editied it liberally to suit her tastes. He said she made it much more of a puff piece than he had originally written it with her revisions.
