Why is it that we have to look to drug dealers for examples of selflessness? If he *tried* to take credit for doing this, he'd get arrested. No political point or corporate PR boosts to be gained here, just one dude helping others.

Yeah, he admits he made a bit of scratch, but he's a drug dealer- he could have said the same and kept it all; what could his clients do about it?

A friend in need is a friend indeed. But a friend with weed is better.

"who donated half of his proceeds made over two days last week "
"He just wanted to help out, and raised $700 for the cause."

This man makes about $1400 every 2 days, it takes most people about a month to earn that.

Ok, so I have a vision: a video with tokers and victims of Sandy...

Victims: Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends,
Dealer: Mmm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
Tokers: Ooh, I get high with a little help from my friends

He did specify that he reached out to his clientelle and let them know about the donation, and it's much more than he would normally make, so that's not a typcial everyday sales figure

Yeah still, $500 a day, and people wonder why kids turn to crime. Even a slacktastic dealer is probably making 50k net, untaxed income.

/legalize it, tax it, fully fund education, done.

Most people should probably try to aspire further than a McDonald's cash register.

I dont mean to be contrary, but $500 every single day is actually quite a lot. Just because you made $700 for 2 days out of the year, doesn't mean you are making that every single day ($182,500/year... wonder how he deals with the IRS) After adjusting for product lost per day, plenty of slacktastic weed dealers exist who don't even make $100 a day, many who probably dont do much better than a minimum wage job.

We've been led to believe that drug dealers are criminal scum who sit back and count oodles of cash, who dont work a day in their lives and reap taxless benefits the rest of use don't enjoy. If you've ever known more than 1 or 2 drug dealers, you would know this isnt true for the vast majority (sans tax bit).

I sell weed sometimes, and at least 2 other people at my work sell weed that I know of (good sized warehouse), and it really isnt much more than a little bit of pocket change for the weekend honestly for any of us. If I made it a full time thing I could probably pull more like a hundred a day, but even that is still kinda meh (hard, here in CA half of us have medical prescrips anyway). The only times I pull lucrative amounts is when I harvest a bunch of plants, and that is once every 5-6 months, hardly anything to depend on.

I only gave a little bit, which is what I could. Glad to see this guy could give much more than that.

Wait... $700 in, let's see... 2 days. Right? Let me check... yeah 2 days. and that was half of what he made in 2 days, so...

Carry the 7...

Did you see MythBusters yesterday? They totally busted the myth that...
