I'm not saying animals don't have emotional states -- they do. But the idea that they experience them the same way we do, or for the same reasons, or express them in the same way, is just wrong-headed anthropomorphism.

This is one of their favourite positions, too. Funny if yer at the zoo and see about 6 - 7 of them in a group, all maxin' relaxin', all pulling this badass pose.

Pictures of children posing in human like gestures is amusing as well.

Maybe it's just me, but none of the animals from that article look remotely human, let alone 'almost human'. Not their poses, not their 'expressions' (which most of them don't have), nothing.

Also, am I the only one who finds it a touch creepy that the article uses 'intimate' to describe like five of the pictures...?
