Thats why I always go as a Whale Biologist. As a Whale Biologist, no one will question anything you say. No one. And you can have people arrested if you tell the police they stole precious hamburgers.

I spent a summer posing as nurse with a male buddy who posed as a doctor. We were 16. It was a small town; not much to do.

We'd go to the hospital, snag a couple of lab jackets, a couple of stethoscopes, pick-up charts and visit patients. We never tried to actually treat anyone. He'd babble on and I'd pretend to take notes and agree with his assessments. I'll never forget the day he told an old guy that if he didn't masturbate more often the pressure would blow his eyeballs out.

I could impersonate a Medical Assistant although no longer certified. They're the folks that take you to the exam room and take your vitals. They also take blood and do limited x-rays. They train for about 9 months. Its longer than a CNA. Oh PA? yeah they're under the doctor's license. If you want autonomy, be an NP

Correct and in practices that use them it's usually the PA does all the work and the MD gets all the money. As someone else mentioned, becoming a nurse practitioner is more lucrative and rewarding. A friend of mine became a PA because he didn't want to spend the time to become an RN and then have to go to NP school. He wishes he had.
